Espresso 15 Pro review: Just a really nice (though pricey) portable monitor

The espresso display makes some of our favorite portable monitors, but so far, it felt as if it had a hole in its portfolio. The reason is that except for its flagship model – $ 800 ESPRESO 17 Pro – Other family members are slightly more affordable fares, such as $ 469 as the aspresso touch 13 and 9 499 Touch 15. Today, the company is packing the difference with Sprisso 15 Pro, which I pack about everything about it about a maximum portable package.

About Espriso I appreciate one of their things that is that he doesn’t try to do much. 15 Pro contains an ultra -minimum design that is made of simple black aluminum sheets in front of it and front sparkling glass (if you prefer fading display, you can always add one of the company’s textures. Screen Protectors) Given, the monitor has a slight chin, but excluding two USB-C ports in the corner, this is really an outdoor feature of 15 Pro, so I don’t bother it. Everyone said, the display weighs 1 pound and 11 ounces, which looks much heavier than it feels.

As far as its sunset, the 4K LCD panel of Espesso 15 Pro provides everything you deserve and then something. The brightness is at the top of 550 nuts (this was actually 556 nets according to my light meter), which is more than 450 nets on a 17 -inch model. It also includes 100 % of the Adobe RGB spectrum with 10 -bit color (8 -bit + 2 -bit frame rate control). One of the things I wish was that Aspresso was included was a 120 -herts refresh rate instead of capping at 60 hits. That said, unless you are modifying gaming or videos, this limit may not be a huge factor.

15 Pro gets and operates. Each USB-C port has enough bandwidth to carry electric and data on the same cable, so you just need to plug into the bone, and you go. An exception is for a laptop that cannot send more power than USB-C, but I tested the monitor with 4 different laptops (both Mac and PC) and none of them had a problem. The display even automatically downloaded the Aspress Flow Software, which increases touch support in your Apple notebook. You also find a new glide feature that automatically keeps the monitor in the right place, depending on that you have arranged it with your laptop. And through some black magic, 15 Pro connected it to the nails when he properly laid the monitor to the left side of my notebook’s built -in screen.

As someone has recently been forced to use Mac for work, Apple’s ability to add touch support quickly and easily to laptop is great. And when I’m far from digital Digas, you can also use display for drawing and sketching as the monitor also works with the company Optional Styles. This makes the 15 Pro an ideal travel partner for both people who want more screen real estate or a portable way to make art.

In addition to the screen protectors and pen, there are also a couple of stand accessories for 15 pro. Is the first $ 49 Aspresso caseWhich covers the magnetic folding that protects the screen while in the transit that you are working can turn back to become a kick stand. Like the display, it is also an easy -to -do case that you expect exactly.

However, for those who want to be more sake, also works with 15 ProSpresso $ 69 Stand+. This is something you will see on the traditional desktop monitor, except that it can connect for a better portability, while also packing a strong magnet that allows you to mount the monitor in a variety of positions. This thing may be very valuable for some people, but I quickly appreciate how easy it makes it easy to keep the 15 Pro in the perfect position. It’s a lot of well -constructed desktop monitor stands I have. The obvious drawback is that on 1 pound and 4 ounces, stand+ weighs as much as the display itself, which is heavy.

Espesso 15 Pro has two options for stands, including befir stand+ or more travel -friendly espresso case.

Espesso 15 Pro is almost everything I look for in the premium portable monitor. It has average brightness, a sleek but stronger design and extremely easy setup. It also comes with certain features, such as touch support for glide and MAC, which helps you get more than the pre -existing devices. And thanks to the wealth of accessories, it can adapt to almost any use.

Although I want a high refresh rate, it is not far from breaking the contract. This will definitely increase its price, and considering that 15 pro is already expensive to some extent, which starts from $ 699 for monitor and stand+, I’m not sure the extra costs will be worth it. Regardless of, if you really want a portable monitor that is better enough to use at home, there are not many more display that can be met with Aspresso 15 Pro.
