The first borderland was a real innovation – probably more credit for it. It developed a new genre that is the most influence in the industry. After that, the Borderlands 2 cleverly extend to the basic formula and the basic formula, which shows how much time our looting and shooting can suck to work with a large world.
And then then… Well, this has been a lot in the wheel rotation, is it? The last time the Borderlands had really a new new idea is difficult to remember.
Explaining a new gameplay for Borderlands 4, it is certainly not felt that we are Borderlands 2 to 13 years. It doesn’t look bad, it is necessary-I can admit to feeling the itching of the looter shooter when I see the shining loot from the enemies flying. There is a complete lack of innovation.
Large heading features, which are shown for the first big revelation of the game? For most parts, it is like a very basic update of life, such as better lobby, looting, or being able to re -run the boss fight. All the ideas that have been common in other sports for years now. Does all this gear box show up for six years of work?
It has a handful of new movements. It also includes jet pack glide and a firm hook. During the fighter streams in the disclosure, the player is jumping and slipping all over the place, but it is clear that it is not necessary-fighting is still stable, which has a slow moving, bullet sponge enemies and a flat war environment.
Seeing a character from one side of a small loading dock when it looks like they can easily sprinkle the distance, while the enemies look empty… it does not sell the idea of a more dynamic fight at all.
Meanwhile, we are on a new planet that looks like a Pandora, fighting the enemies that we look like before the enemies we have already seen (Does the mask wearing masks and the flying beets of the masters are the victim of the monster?
A smooth open world map is appealing, but then it seems that the demo is not cool to display it in this place. Since the footage takes us to the icy plains like the beginning of the Borderlands 2, the developers talk about such exciting features as… press the button in a bunker to activate a sharp journey, and the enemy groups mentally patrolling the map.
We have promised a new story, but what we have shown is the only old sprinting and shooting when you ignore pieces of forgetful NPC dialogue. This time a big new change? According to Pitchford, “We are throwing back in our long -term borderland fans, we are throwing back in our more ground tone.” Still looking at the fantastic, amazing layout and the enemy, it seems that this is a code for ‘less quickly outdated meme references’, which is definitely welcome but is rarely a significant change in the style.
All this seems like a fine set of adaptation and the improvement of the Borderlands formula, but they are not really adding anything. This is the point of preview cycle where the developer really has to sell the biggest, best things about his game. When we are being invited to hire for items like mediocre and slightly different trees instead of accessories, it is concerned.
I am sure there will be some old entertainment to be here, but I can’t help, but I am disappointed to see the developer who invented the genre that apparently failed to move it forward. If you are a fan of Borderland, you have already spent 100 hours with the series – I know I have. Once again 100 of the same but a little shiny and more easy is not just charming, and this is not a good basis for the inevitable spin office and the extends that we will be waiting for the next main line Border Lands for years.
Border Lands 3 already felt like reducing the return of the series, and the horrific movie in people’s minds is still fresh, it seems that it is time for a resurrection release. If Borderlands 4 are that, then the gear box really needs to show us before September. What we are seeing right now is the same but with less disturbing jokes. Is it really enough to excite people in 2025?
