Most games do not want to be a great American novel – wide, associated with this country, in its full position, sweeps the scope. Love or hate Red Dead Redemption 2, which is one of the few games that try.
When the Rock Star’s large -scale West launched in 2018, I remember some critics are surprised that the same story was written by the GTA 5. The two sports statement were led by Dan Houser, Michael Anosworth, and Rupert Humphrez, and they are quite different. Where the GTA was 5 purel, cross and nahal, RDR2 was emotionally resonant, firm and hopeful. And even in the mature ways, with the knowledge that a new beginning you imagined may not look like you go to sunset. If you are riding in the sunset, exactly.

Two -thirds of this written team is no longer in the rock star. Although Humphrez is still present as the president of the Rock Star’s senior vice president, Dan Houser resigned in 2020, and left in Unsworth 2023. In view of how long it has been in the development of GTA6, he has still written more of the game script. It is worth considering, though, there are 15 credit authors on GTA 5, and 22 on Red Dad Radiation 2. Therefore, these two departures may not mean as much as you expect, especially considering that they were almost certainly involved with the script before they exit.
But what I am most excited about is not individual contributions. It is seeing how the Rock Star team has learned in detail the inspirational scope and intimate role of Red Dead Radiation 2 as a whole.
I like the GTA 5, but its roles keep me behind
The GTA 5 was a fun game. But it was also very wide in his humor and was very careless to say too much substance. After the Red Dead Radiation 2, I played it for the first time, and shared the trauma of critics who could not believe that the RDR2 came from the same team. Red Dad 2 can sometimes be funny, and it contained the same note, cartoon roles, such as Uncle, Micha, and inventor Marco Drazak with a “bright bounce boy” side mission. But after the basic cast is serious, the proportional people also allowed the game to be serious and important. Arthur and Dutch, in particular, are both good and bad, but none of them are praised, but by choosing to accept or reject the rid.
It is not that the GTA 5 center did not have interesting roles. But both Trever and Michael are deeply incredible. Trever Moryso, of course, wants to kill indiscriminately by a GTA player. But Michael is not a boy I want to spend time with someone. He is a disconnected father, whose wife is cheating on her, whose children are disturbing and hell, and who will see the TCM all day instead of improving their relationship with them. Franklin is the most liking, mostly because he is a young, coming friend who is not violently unstable (such as a trever) or a rich Chowan who feels sorry for himself (like Michael). He is the most liking in terms of default.
There is no harm in incredible roles. I will play as an exciting hole instead of boring a good man. But with Arthur Morgan, the rock star connected the balance to the nails, in which the supply of complicated character sports is rare.
It is a pleasure to know that the Rock Star maker is GTA 6 Rock Star which has made Red Dead Radiation 2 because although the game will still have comedy elements-the second trailer has an ammo-nation commercial, eventually RDR2 was capable of depth of the RDR2 feature. Arthur Morgan and Dutch Van Der Linde, in particular, are some of the best roles created by the rock star. CD has a great ARS in the history of the studio, and the general view and greeting button of the game to centralize the role through the camp makes it one of the most clearly important open world game so far. If the rock star can affect the depth of the GTA game, it will deserve all the successes that are inevitable on its own path.
