The developers behind the canceled star Fox Sequel were a little happy that the game did not launch when it started, as it was never at the newly launched play station.
In 1995, Nintendo was planning to launch Star Fox 2 on SNES in August. By the middle of the year, the game was almost complete, but the launch was canceled, choosing to focus on Nintendo, the upcoming N64 and its 3D graphics. Star Fox 2 was over behind the screen – complete with QA testing and localization – but did not see the light until it launched SNES as part of the classic collection in 2017.
According to Star Fox and Star Fox 2 programmer Dilin Catburt,, however, the team may be less disappointed with the lack of release more than you expect. Talking to the retro gamer, Kerbert said, “What I do was released with it, but at the same time, the PlayStation had just launched and 3D graphics showed that it was much higher.”
Nintendo was upset since the beginning of the console of Sony in 1994, and Catabrt says he would not compare our game with the PlayStation graphics. This does not mean that he never wanted to see Star Fox’s 2 -day light, however – he says he was “very happy” that he was finally 20 years after his launch.
Kerbert played an important role in several other star Fox projects, however, in 2006, both Star Fox Command for Nintendo DS, and Star Fox N64 3D for 3DS in 2011.
