Apple’s 2025 World Wide Developers Conference, or WWDC, is just two weeks away. Like the previous year, it looks like Apple is going to squeeze gaming in its software announcements.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark GormanApple is planning to unveil a “dedicated gaming app” that will “serve as a Lant Launcher of titles and focuses in game successes, leader boards, communication and other activity.”

It seems a lot like steam, just in this app will show sports from the App Store and, of course, the Apple Arcade Subscription Service. However, Gorman also stated that the Mac version “can tap in the downloaded games outside the App Store,” so it may be connected to your steam or epic sports library.

Apple too Recently bought RAC7Studio behind the dimension, which may indicate that they are planning to develop some games at home.

Over the past few years, it has also been seen that a handful of prominent games are ported on Apple’s platforms, such as Hassan’s credit margins and residency Evil 4, and Netflix Gaming has made some commendable progress in Indy Games such as Indy Games and Death Dor.

Although all this is a step in the right direction, most of the gamers are still choosing Windows PC or console to play anything beyond the mobile game. A new game launcher for Apple Devices will probably make it easier to find and manage sports on your Mac or iPhone, but it does not pay attention to the basic issue of game compatibility.

Unfortunately for Apple, there is a better experience with gaming on Gaming Mac on Linux, which is really saying something. Someone has to think why no page takes a page from the Apple valve book and develops a synchronized layer for valve proton platforms such as Macos, which has brought hundreds of Windows Games to Linux.

Synchronous layer will reduce developers to bring their games to Apple Devices, or at least to McCons, and make the player base on the MacOS to expand the base.

Right now, Apple will have to work against any player vs. No game developers’ catch 22: Game Davis are not playing for Mac because the gamers are playing heavy on Windows, and They Unless there are more games on Mac, they will not change.

Ironically, Apple has been much better for MacBox gaming since launching its M -series chips. The problem is that many games with Macos are not really compatible with this hardware.

The layer of compatibility such as a proton, which may be made in Apple’s new launcher, seems to be the best way to fill this gap and show how good the gaming can be on Macos, which could potentially offer local Mac Support.
