- Google Search is testing Notebook lm feature audio review
- This feature will present a brief, AI-generated audio summary for some questions.
- This feature uses the Gemini model to present the podcast style specifications with clicking links.
I have been a fan of the audio review feature in Google’s Notebook LM since I experienced it for the first time last year. Now, it is coming on Google Search, currently just as a test in the labs, but it brings a high cutting version of AI -infield “podcast” that I like in the notebook LM.
Once you choose through the labs, you will start seeing a little hint on some of the search results pages, “Prepare the audio review.” Tap on it, wait about 30 to 40 seconds, and a compact audio clip of about five minutes comes, sometimes less, which explains what you have seen in the form of two AI -inflammatory sounds that are discussed. Not too deep, but not a single sandal has landed. Think about the middle ground between “Wikipedia Rabbit Hole” and “I just read the headline”.
When you hear, the audio player sinks into the page of your results, showing links to sources that are drawn from AI. You can continue to browse, tap in relevant articles, or just hear and absorb. If you listen to yourself, you can give it a thumb. If this is surprisingly wrong, the thumbs are also down.
Although the notebook LM is similar to what is done with your audio review, there is a big difference in the search version. The Notebook LM only uses the documents you upload, YouTube videos, and websites that you specifically link. The Google Search version draws from the public web content. Depending on what you find, it can be good or bad. Some straight and scientific things may be fine, but whenever you look, talk about the best movie can get a different audio track. Here is an example from which I recorded a clip.
AI pods finds cast
It’s hard to perfect, and when the sounds are good, they are still the sounds of AI. You may find a straightforward phrase from someone’s reddate post. But it is worth hearing and, as Google has stated, the speed of the speaker and the link to provide more context to the links, is hand -free. You can fasten it or slow it down, leave it around, or follow the link on the go. This is not a new audio box but a better search.
For now, not every search will offer an audio review. You also have to stay in the United States and sign up for the labs right now. But, I would expect it to be a normal release very soon. Then you can ask how lithium -ion batteries work or why Roman concrete still stands, and get a small mini conversation with digital characters.
Think about how the video summary and image carousels we get in information about how we get information in online information to bring new dimensions. The audio review is another aspect of this and a win for audio learners or people with visual disorders, in which open AI and anxiety and a dozen AI search engines are rotating on their heels, whatever Google may be ready to stand, and the AIPodcast is a lesser way to a lesson.
