- Valve’s stamus comes with 3.7.0 preview “Starting Cooperation for Non -Steme Deck Hand Helds”.
- Non -steam deck handheld PC can use stamus instead of Windows 11 soon
- Such a move can produce more power than handhelds produced by the choice of ASUS, Lenovo and MSI.
I lie if I said that I do not wish the age that the valve opened the stamo outside the other handheld PC and the machines to its excellent steam deck. And after some wait, it seems that is happening with the recent Stamus 3.7.0 preview “Non -steam deck is coming with the start of handhelds support.”
Now this is not just a huge amount of money to go for the preview version of Stamus. But with a model of Lenovo Lashkar, running through stamus and ready to arrive in May, we can see the arrival of a new range of stamus -based handheld PC.
There are already ways to run stamus on non -steam deck machines, but cooperation for them is unofficial and they lack the smart handheld integration of steam in the same vein like a steam deck. The best handheld PC has a tendency to run Windows 11 with a shape of the handheld interface in the upper part of the operating system and then tap in the big image mode of the steam to enable the console -like handheld gaming experience.
Receiving indigenous stamus support can surely new new handheld PC and people who can recover or double boots with valve -based operating system. In our hands with Lenovo Lashkar Goo, we were definitely sold on the idea of the stamus version.
Steamed dreams
Although I still want Microsoft handheld to work on Windows 11 to work more easily on the PC, especially if it really makes a form of Xbox Handheld, I think the stamus handheld PC is more than three years, especially for three years.
What I am more pleased is, by the demolition of Windows 11 Reliance, handheld PC, with the choice of ASUS, Lenovo and MSI, can tap into an operating system that requires less head resources and thus open more power than chips on handheld PC.
Steam Deck’s AMD Zen 2 and RDNA 2 -based APU is not as powerful as other chips in other handhelds, such as Asus Rog Elly X that plays a more powerful AMD Ryzen Z1 highly processor and RDNA -3 -based graphics. But the steam deck offers the fastest and fastest gaming experience with the argument when an account takes the software and hardware to the tandem.
Taking care of the operating system and the interface to the stamus can be best in both worlds, with the next generation’s disease playing a powerful APU with Eli Silicon Horse Power, which can easily access with the small need for over -head computing resources.
All this can open a new avenue for handheld PC that can eventually challenge the steam deck, at least in my eyes.
Only anarchy will have access to third party sports services. Stemeos and Steam deck were built around users who tapped the Xbox Game Pass or Epic Games Launcher, tapped in the wide range of sports -cooked sports on the steam store.
However, the steam deck already has works to get the likes of Xbox Cloud gaming. The valve does not appear to discourage it. So I would not be surprised to work hardware makers to build stamus to merge other launchers in clean, easy -to -use fashion.
It is difficult to say that when we can see more stamus -based handhelds. But seeing that we have just received the latest stamus preview, it should not be too late until a complete version comes into the jungle. It can come in April.
If this happens, we can see a group of handheld PCs that prevent Windows 11 for stamus on the side of 2025. I’m crossing my fingers.
