The final fiction 14 patch is coming 7.2 soon – which means the initial patch note. Although it is generally not very interesting, most of the meat is included in the direct posts of the game, a special note has been leaning on me: FF14 changes to its own blacklist.
I wrote a complete story on it in January, but here are Cliff Notes: In the latest expansion of the game, Dantriel, FF14 made some concrete changes in its ineffective blacklisting system. One of the major benefits was that you had the ability to eliminate everyone who was completely blocked from your game world – while first, if you were being stabbed, you were powerless to do so.
However, the integration of this feature of Square Enxes left a lot to be desired. As the modes discovered soon, the change caused the FF14 to identify your account, not only your Character ID beam for other customers. Then it can easily scratch this ID, which may be able to snatch the mood (like controversial players) – and the way some models talked about it was not particularly difficult. It should be noted that it was also used through other methods for lesser reasons.
Okay, as if Early patch notes Read, Square has taken steps to stop it – and is clearing the slate as a clean reset for its account identities:
“According to the steps introduced in Patch 7.2, which helps prevent the identification of account identities shown in the game, the relevant -saved client data has been reset. We apologize for any inconvenience and ask for your understanding because we introduce these steps.”
Although this does not show what the Square Ennonx has actually done to solve the problem (which is quite appropriate, there is no reason to give the stickers more information than they need), the fact is that the client’s data has been completely reset, it seems that the company has eliminated the risk. Otherwise, why do you go out of trouble?
This, as a square note, consequently keep some things in mind. “Although the information registered in the blacklist has been saved, the characters included in the blacklist before the patch 7.2 cannot be (the role name cannot be recovered) ‘… to show the blacklisted character names once again, please consider removing the blacklist -related roles.
Basically, your blacklist will still work, but the blacklisted characters will no longer have their names on your list. If the Square Enxes have set up an account ID system, it does not mean, as the Blacklisted player’s Alts will also be prevented from appearing in the game world. Assuming that they were blacklisted through the game through the same system, adjusting account identities, okay, will do so.
This post also states that “players will be unable to blacklisted the characters who were registered as contacts before the patch 7.2” based on deleting dumb list data-which seems terrible at first, but that simply means that you will not be able to produce a blacklist, because of your dumb list.
It remains to be seen whether he has really fixed the problem or not. It was a beautiful clear threat in the first place, and there is one that has still hurt. Even if this is scheduled, someone with the mind of anyone has already caught the information needed to do so. Better than never, I guess – though for the sake of others, I would have preferred if that never happens.
