- Features New Air Pods Claimed for WWDC 2025
- Air Pods Pro 2 and Air Pods 4 can find camera control, a new MIC mode and new head indicators
- Sleep detection may also require an Apple Watch
We are just a few days away from Apple’s annual developer event, the WBC 2025, and that means the next macros revealed, the iOS and iPado are close. And if the reports are correct, it means that Air Pods 4, Air Pods 4 for ANC and Air Pods Pro 2 more really interesting upgrades.
The news comes through it 9TO5MACFive features have been shared, which are expected to be revealed during the keynote on Monday 9 June, though we will not really be able to use them unless the beta version continues to its usual early September.
Which new features are coming in Air Pods in iOS 26?
IOS 26-allegedly is moving in the version instead of numbers in the version instead of numbers so that all the number of Apple’s operating system will be compatible-five features will introduce: new head gestures, sleep auto, camera control, audio mix, and broader classroom support.
Head gestures were added to Air Pods Pro 2 and Air Pods 4 last year: you can shake your head or reject calls (and some other notifications) to shake or accept them. Now, Apple is apparently working on additional gestures, including one who will expand the volume adjustment of the conversation awareness, a mode that you are talking about when the audio reduces.
Apple is also working to detect your air pods while sleeping. However, it is unclear whether it is going to be an airpod/iPhone feature alone, or if it will require Apple’s best watches to detect the sleep detection feature.
The third feature is one of them “Not sure they did not do years ago”: Controlling your camera shutter with your air pods stem, just as you can do with volume control over air pods.
Audio Mix, which was introduced with the iPhone 16, is also being expanded: 9TO5MAC understands that a new “studio quality” microphone mode will be “holding small levelers microphones like air pods more attractive, as if they were a social media -producing microfone.”
Last but at least the classroom will improve, which will ease the many airpod users connected to the same member by removing some friction in the current pair system.
It is likely that we will hear about at least some of these features on Monday 9 June, though, of course, does not necessarily mean that they will definitely make it in iOS 26: After the defeat of Samarter-Siri, we are taking nothing until it is present in our iPhones.
