“I think one of the great things about working on a project like Haasan’s profession is that we don’t need to tell a traditional Japanese story,” says Nebilin. “This is not a feudal Japanese movie where everything has to be grounded, because the way Hassan’s profession looks at history is very unique. We do it in our own particular way, which means bringing a little modern elements in it. We want to play with such formulas.”
