Today, in the triple’s move, Barotroma developer Fix Fish revealed his next co -operative survival game. It has transformed its notorious submarine to another metal animal: a train, and this time it is FPS instead of a 2D survival game.
The manufacturer says, in the frostlill, the players will “tolerate an arctic temperature, undeniable horrors, and an impressive Eden engine with a life -long post -up -to -wocolptic world.” Take a look:
In the above trailer, you can see that the players are riding steam -powered locomoto in a growing world and running away from the ruined small cities to eliminate resources. There is a tuck watch: the temperature is brutally cool and the players will not be able to last long without the heat of their train. The rapidly -driven shes in the name of Revenants also have to stop before fleeing the train to reach the next stop with rails.
Last week, I talked to Fake Fish founder and CEO Eko Johinin about Freestrell, who told me that players travel to new areas and enter the SHA for looting and supplies, they will build more on their trains, ranging benchs to refineries. This will allow them to produce materials such as metal, cloth, and even plastic, resources that can be used to manufacture weapons and improve the train, including engine.
Upgrading the Eden engine means that the train will move faster and will be able to pull overweight. “This is a combination of high speed in the train, and it is likely that the train will get more carriage,” said Johianin. More vehicles mean that players will have more scope to build, but with this extra weight, a more powerful engine will also be required to move forward.
“The real loop is that when you are traveling between these places, you usually want to improve and crafts and prepare yourself for the next location,” said Johianin. “Then it can be a branching rail road, so sometimes you need to jump, change the track and go to any other part of the surface.” Other risks may face players who are obstacles to the tracks that need to be destroyed so that the train can continue.
And then there… okay, whatever is a massive monster at the end of the trailer. To paradise Chief Broody: You will need a big train.
For Barotraoma fans who are surprised (as I was) if there is a mood for traitors in the frostal, where a player can actively work to sabotage others, it does not seem that it is officially part of the project.
“I think we are focusing more on the cooperative gameplay with the frostliel,” said Johianin, though he added that there is a lot of scope for the screw -up where a person puts everyone at risk, for example, using all fuel or jumps from the train. “But most of us are focusing and intending to have a good cooperative experience.”
Don’t just pull on your conductor cap right now: Forrosil is not coming to steam until 2026.
