BLAST Austin Major teams, format, schedule, prizes, talent, fantasy

The first Major of 2025 is only a few days away. Kicking on June 3, the Blast Dot TV Austin Major will begin with three Swiss phases behind the closed doors. Once the field was terminated in the last eight teams, the tournament will go to the Moody Center for the play office between June 19-22.

Teams and format

Austin Major will feature 32 team format after deciding to extend the tournament with 24 teams.

There will be three stages of Swiss, each of which will include 16 teams and only with three best formats in advanced and elimination matches (other games will be the best matters). Eight teams coming out of Stage 3 will develop a single end, the best play office of three.

The stage 1 will feature 16 teams that come through a major regional qualifier (MRQ) held in Europe, Asia Pacific and the United States. The other 16 teams received direct invitations to the Major through the valve rating and the stage 2 and 3 were equally divided.

On May 21, Blast announced that Bestia would be replaced by Legacy in Stage 1, when Argentina’s team failed to secure the US visa for two players appointed five days ago until the deadline of May 21.

Visas for the past two players arrived on May 22, and Bestia has threatened legal action if the team is unable to compete with the Major, and saying that no deadline has ever been made public communication. On May 29, Bastia CEO Elejandro “Papomic” Lokoko is written on x The organization is using “every available tool” to achieve its goal of competing in Austin.
