In today’s destiny 2 disclosure program, Bongi kicked the next big ‘Saga’ of the game. This is called destiny story, it will be revealed in several years, and it will begin on July 15 at the first extension, at the edge of destiny.
But it was only one of the four spreads that Bangi announced today, and this is the second – later this year, on December 2, which will raise the most eyebrows. This is called Renegades, and it’s… okay, it’s a star war.
“Renegades are definitely about to extend destiny,” says Elison Lohs, designer of the statement. “This is a part of the story of destiny and it is going to advance it in important ways and introduce the characters with which we will spend time in the coming years.”
There is no doubt that this withdrawal exists because, okay, just look at this teaser trailer. These Seems to be Non -Canon Star War like cross over event.
Assistant Game Director Robbie Stevens says, “Really to drive home, Renigads is a kind of destiny experience.” “Just as we have been influenced by other genders in the destiny team such as dark fantasy or cosmic horror, Renigads has taken the place to the Western web and aesthetic place that is a star war and passes through the lens of this destiny.”
Which, I don’t know. I think when one of your final editions of the cosmetic bonus is just a dartwder, you have gone beyond web and aesthetic.
Here’s what stands for the next two years of Destiny 2, away from the star war:
- July 15, 2025: The edge of fate
- December 2, 2025: Renegades
- Summer 2026: Scattered cycle
- Winter 2026: alkimist
The first of these, the edge of destiny, a new location to engage players in some new drama, will be called for Kepler. Bongi calls it an attempt to bring the mystery back into the universe, which is why the central opponents here appear to be nine -dark matter who represent our solar system.
It will also eliminate a new release cycle for the game. As shown by the timeline, destiny 2 is receiving two spreads every year. Each size is around the same size, such as the rise of iron of destiny 1, (ie, smaller than a common destiny 2 annual expansion). And between the release of the expansion will be the new “major updates” that replace the previous seasonal model. They will be free for all players, and the first, called Ash and Iron, will launch in September and include the location of Pluglands of destiny 1 in its sequel.
This is about to make a huge shake -up for the game, but honestly, after the last year of episode updates, destiny 2 needed something different. The last form was an all -timer, but it was not too late to regularly fix the seasonal fatigue. Until the second event, the community’s emotions were as low as I saw it in a while, and although the third event was received much better than that, it is clear that the seasonal roller coaster had long forwarded his reception.
Will this new model be better? I am definitely interested in what Bangi is doing to smooth the experience of the new player, and improve the loot chase through a new tire system. But eventually it is about to come to the standard of these new extensions – even if the detection of the destiny of the Metrodovian will feel more than just a trick, and whether Bongi can remove the expansion of the entire star war and still feel that it means it in the game.
Destiny 2 is a game that bounces between “it is gone” forever, and “we’re far behind”, and I’m struggling to predict where the edge of destiny will fall.
