As the post notes, a copy weapon, even as a collective, is not allowed to carry it or move through checked goods. It does not seem that anyone was arrested or charged with any kind of crime, which is well for the gamer in question. I think we can all agree that it is better not to cause any kind of scene at the airport, no matter how cool it is.
