- Dell Pro Max 18 Plus Work Station already supports CAMM2 RAM up to 128GB
- 256GB Configure Expectations Soon Data is made for heavy or AI-driving work
- Clearly clear AI and performance -based design goals have no support of AMD
Dell is planning to offer a high -end workstation laptop with a massive option of 256 GB of memory later this year.
Dell Pro Max 18 Plus It is already available to buy and sit on the upper part of Dell’s mobile work station lineup, as we predicted it last year.
This Intel Core Ultra 9 285hx processor is strengthened up to the NVIDIA RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell GPU, and supports up to 4TB of SSD storage, which makes it one of the best business laptops.
But no AMD option?
Memory formation starts with a single 16GB 6400 MTSDR 5 CSOD IMM and users can upgrade to 32GB or 64GB using dual modules.
6400MTS CAMM2 also has the option for 128GB of dual channel memory, though you will pay a premium for it – in fact the total price additional 8,895.
And if 128GB is still not enough, Dell plans to offer 256 GB Kim 2 RAM option at the end of the year.
Although 256GB will be even better than the need for most users, it can appeal to engineers, researchers and developers who regularly work with the demand for heavy workloads.
Dell has made thermal improvement in the Pro Max 18 Plus to keep the performance under the burden. It claims that graphics performance is 44 % increase compared to the last 18 -inch model.
This system also features better service with a modular USB-C port and easy access upgrade panel.
In conjunction with the Dell Management tools and security features, it is clearly designed for the enterprise environment.
A remarkable error is AMD support. Dell’s Pro Max 14 includes Raizen AI processors and is part of the Coplot+ Lineup, which becomes the most unusual that 18 Plus is positioned as a highly qualified model, does not offer AMD options.
Rising processors have been widely appreciated by their NPU performance and strong performance, their absence can be a contracting thing for AI -based alternative users.
We can only hope that Dell sees the mistake of its methods and brings AMD options to the future supporter Max Model.
