Today I Direct X State of the Union in GDC 2025We proudly showed with the announcement of the next evolution in graphics Direct X Ritesing (DXR) 1.2. This update promises improvement and amazing visual loyalty, which identifies another milestone in our mission to provide concerts, realistic experiences everywhere. We also brought developers to the latest and largest in our direct X tooling with refreshments in Pix.

In partnership with industry leaders – including game studios like AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm, and Ramidi – we showed how this progress is ready to renew the graphical immersion in the Windows Games.

DXR 1.2 introduces two revolutionary technologies: Faded micro max (omm) And Shader hanging restoration (SER)Both of these jumps jumps in the retriever performance:

  • Faded micromps Significantly improve the alpha -trial geometry, which supplies 2.3x performance improvement In the way the games. By effectively handling blurred data, OMM reduced shader requests and greatly increased the rendering performance without compromising on visual standards.
  • Shader hanging restoration Offers a huge leap in performing performance. 2x sharp In some scenarios – to enhance the performance of the GPU, the intelligently implementing the shader, reducing the twist, and promoting frame rates, which make more good and more prolonged titles than ever before. This feature is paved with the path to more in the future.

Those of you who could not make it, today we are going to peek a secret from our GDC presentation – full conversation recording will be available in GDC Walt and will be available independently shortly afterwards. Microsoft Game Dev Channel.

As usual, we will have a day support for DXR 1.2 in PIX on Windows, Windows, Windows. In addition, in the GDC, we announced other terrific additions in our tooling story. They unlock more flexibility than ever before, which gives developers powerful new ways to customize their needs to meet their needs. Improvements include:

  • Pix API preview: Available in C ++, C# and Azigar, a new API that provides programming access to developers to PIX functionality and data through API. A private preview is coming in April 2025.
  • Custom Visual: Building On announcements Over the past year, we have announced new functionality to give unprecedented specialization while looking at buffers, meshs and textures within Pix UI.
  • Pix UX refresh: A modern, more intuitive, and more discovered user experience is coming to Pix in April 2025! Many improvements include a new visual studio -shaped editor system, which unlocks more pex UI customization than ever before.

In the Advanced Graphics Summit session on Monday related to nerve rendering, we shared more details of our support for cooperative vector. Co -operative vector Shader Model 6.9 has a new programming feature soon. It introduces powerful new hardware acceleration for vector and matrix operations, which enables developers to connect nerve rendering techniques directly into real -time graphics pipelines.

With help on stage by our partners in Intel, AMD, and Nvidia, we highlighted important issues of use for technology:

We want to express gratitude to our valuable industry partners, AMD, Intel, Nvidia, QualcommAnd on incredible game developers Ramidi, Who worked with us to present the future of graphics and to create these ground technologies.

Specifically, we would like to thank AMD’s Max Uberberg, Which showed the power of work graph with mesh nodes. After last year’s GDC announcement of this feature, Max set up a work graph and shared a demo in our conversation, Plus his own words in the advanced graphics summit. View the video after being available on the GDC Walt or Microsoft Game Dev Channel!

Finally, Thanks to our co -presented at Direct X Rittering 1.2, Ramidi’s CTO Maca Whakala. In addition to providing early feedback and verifying performance improvement with Omis and Sir, Alan Week II’s demo showed our joint efforts in the GDC, providing the first feedback in connecting these features and verifying performance improvement. Thank you for representing treatment on stage with us, Mika!

We are inviting all developers to take advantage of these powerful new abilities. DXR 1.2, Co -operative vector, and better Pix tooling will be available in late -up -to -date preview SDK April 2025.
