2025 is the 20th anniversary of the show that some fans still say surprisingly “new” doctor. In addition to feeling too old – I miss the day “Do you want to come with me?“And Graham Norton’s voice is disrupting the ‘rose’, and the rumors that Adam will become Doros and, Oh, I have already been put into a house – it is worth taking a moment to look back at Russell T Davis’s original pitch for the series, in which he makes his vision closer to which he becomes a doctor.
In the document, Davis describes it with Time Lord: “Your best friend with whom you want to live with all the time. He is wise and ridiculous, fast and fast, proud and brave. And considering that he is a stranger, he is the best man you can imagine.” So his heart can burst, and his head also bursts as science and art.

There is also a doctor’s subtle re -framing, which reminds me of this pitch document once again. Davis writes that the doctor may be sexy, shortly after, “Stand very close to him, you can burn.”
This is a warning that Belinda will do a good job for cheating. NCTI Gateva’s Time Lord is as dynamic and charming as usual, but there is occasional cold or steelosis that feels new and helps balance the reputation of this avatar as a “emotional doctor”. Just as Tom Baker can be sympathetic for a moment and cooled each other, or David Tennat may change rapidly between your dear best Paul and revenge deity, the doctor of Gatwa is well aware of the deadly nature of his adventures, but sometimes he should be neglected.
It’s not that it needs someone’s help. Many presses around the season have focused on Belinda with understanding and how different they are from Milli Gibson’s wide -eyed ruby from Sunday, and you certainly get its taste here.
A new type of partner
The off -off -benda is smart and ridiculous and excited, just as it was ruby, but the important thing is that he is also a nurse and it is clear that in his highly stressed environment, his more worldly backgrounds and experiences have made him a tough and straightforward conversation – since Catherine has no good to call her a noblemor.
This does not mean that they do not like each other-Gatwa and Setho have an unrealistic chemistry-but at a moment to describe a character here, when the doctor is busy showing it, she’s not paying attention to her-she’s participating with those who need her help. This is a really impressive first event for Setho in the character, and is very different from the presence of his guest because Mandi Flynn is the ‘Boom’ of the previous season.
The ‘The Robot Revolution’ is everything we expect Dr. who is from the opener so far. It is large and colorful, with deep production design that shows that Disney’s money shows more clearly than most of the last year’s episodes. Planning, occasionally, is slightly disturbed, but you get a summary. This is a widespread lightweight adventure to welcome people to the series before taking a more fruitful turn in the subsequent installments.
However, don’t make a mistake, though. All of its major red robots and ray guns are a sharp and new feeling of coming back to Davis’s original idea that it is as dangerous as it is to be around the doctor. The travel house begins …
