Don of Finch: Awareness launches June 5, and some players in the run -up for release have been allowed to start searching for members in the son. PCG’s Chris Living Stone spent 25 hours there, and was impressed by his offer as a game of survival, but a little faster towards the MMO of things.
One of the problems that jumped from our man was the “ugly, Baxi player -made base” that covered the map while he was starting. It was so noteworthy that Chris ran most across the map to find a disorder to find his base: The next time he logged in, “Two big players at my small base built 20 feet from my front door.”
It doesn’t look great, and in two weeks the son’s problem worsened, more and more bases appeared (as well as incomplete) and mostly just because of being the “boring box”. In addition to eliminating the landscape, it is also a problem how the game feels: a part of the mound of fantasy, in the end, the nomadic feeling of crossing these wide scenes.
This very topic has emerged in a new current series that focuses on sports building and crafts, and Don addressed it: Awareness Chief Creative Director Joel Bielos (Timstamp,
“It is encouraged to get rid of the old bases, because it is one of the problems that comes with the game’s perseverance,” says Bileos. “In a traditional MMO like the World of Warraft, it is not as if you make a base in the Starter Zone and leave it there for a week, because imagine how many bases will stand. (But) How is our game? Does Work because you can end with many bases. “
As the solution, it is the old “clean self -clean” mantra that, while talking as a parent, I can say with confidence that 100 % always works successfully.
“So the opening lesson encourages you to get rid of your old base, your first base,” says Bileos. “And then you go further in the world and we are asking you to build a big base. So I would just say that when the game is launched, like your comrades: Clean your old bases. Do not leave the trash on the members!”
Hmmm You realize that it can be a part of the mound: Awareness experience for everyone, especially in a few weeks when a lot of players are trying to do this: I certainly know that, if I’m not enjoying a particular game, I stopped it instead of cleaning my dirt and then closing it.
As PCG’s Chris Living Stone said: “I know I’m going to choose, but if I am tired of seeing these ugly bases (including my own) in just a few hours of the press son, how bad will it be after the launch of the servers with regular players?”
It would be good if people cleaned their old bases but, without any positive incentive to do so, I am not sure there will be many people: Soon, we will see it in practice. And I am still pressing to try the mound: anyway, because I think it will be worth eating from the sand worms.
