- AI-Infield Documents are replacing traditional counterfeiting and verifying more than a pre-concept
- Artificial identity fraud has increased by 195 % globally, Europe and North America have been the most affected
- Most frauds are now after boarding the ship, using credentials and devices like spoons
Experts have warned that the fraud of the artificial identity document is now spreading globally at a global pace, which is almost completely run by the abuse of productive AI.
Somsub’s new data claims that using AI, making fake documents claim that has increased by 195 % worldwide, with Q1 2024 and Q1 2025 increased worldwide.
The most dramatic increase was recorded in Europe, where artificial identity fraud increased by 378 %, followed by North America (311 %) and Mina Region (258 %).
Traditional forgery decreases
This trend seems to be the focus of traditional documents, which has decreased rapidly in most areas, which has decreased by 82 % in Africa and North America by 50 %.
This change shows that scammers are moving from conventional techniques to AI-infield identity, which can now be manufactured in seconds using large-scale irregular tools.
The most affected industries in this trend include crypto, trade, transportation, fantasy, and gambling, all sectors that often rely on the ship -driven process and may not take enough protective measures to detect artificial documents before damaging.
Increasing this risk is, in fact, more than three -quarters (76 %) fraud, which is now after the on -boarding phase, such as the device fingerprint spoons, recruitment of credentials, and the so -called “mini milling”.
“The rise of AI generated fraud is exposing important flaws in traditional verification systems, and data shows that sophisticated fake documents are a source of fraud,” said Puel Goldman Calidian, head of the AI/ML in Somsub.
“We expect companies like Openi to strengthen the safety measures to control the use of their programs to create passports, IDs and other personal documents.”
The trend is a dramatic increase in the parallel -related fraud fraud, where North America saw a surprising 1,100 % increase in matters, after 900 % of Europe.
Countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Germany have seen the highest increase individually, which raised concerns about the future role of visual media in the identity fraud schemes.
For individuals and organizations who are trying to protect themselves, it will not be enough to fully rely on the traditional YC protocol. Businesses are advised to use the identification administration software and multi -layered verification systems for strong protection.
Consumers should also consider high -level identification theft protection solutions, especially those that monitor the use of artificial identities. The use of search tools can add an additional layer of safety to leading people when verifying unknown contacts or verifying one’s justification.
