Fooled by a false story about Steam account hacks? Have I Been Pwned 2.0 will now shower you with confetti when you have not, in fact, been pwned

Last week, bad reporting was seen as a common mini -cycle: An anonymous internet account published a claim that the steam was hacked and compromised with more than 89 million passwords. Data violations were widely reported, and outlets suggested users to normalize: change in password, enable 2 FA, etc. Except… it has never been violated.

This could have been (this has not happened). Hex is just a part of modern life, and there is no shortage of high -level examples in any month. Here, in the UK, two of our major high -street retailers are recently subjected to organized hacking, after Cooperative Stores are vacant after weeks.
