Fortynite has returned to the iOS about five years away from the US platform. A long legal drama between the Forteite developer Epic Games and Apple looked at the two sides against each other on Apple’s digital store front business methods. A judge’s recent decision forced Apple to return to Fortonite on the platform, although shortly after that, Apple stopped submitting the app’s app on one last technical capacity, which prevented the game from reopening the iOS last week.

Apple vs Apple timeline
Apple’s story began compared to Apple when Epic tried to offer players more direct payment method to buy in the game, which was completed with a cheap price tag associated with them, thus withheld Apple’s payment system and thus 30 % of the tech giant. - March 2024: Epic movements to keep Apple in contempt of court, argue that the company has not adequately implemented the judge’s decision or intention.
- May 2025: Judge Rogers in fact, in favor of Epic, rule and orders Apple to restore Fortatite on iOS platforms, and call the company to try to tamper with its decision.
- Shortly afterwards, Epic announced that Apple had stopped returning the game again, this time, rejecting its App Store submission and Apic’s Tim Swini is expected to be an irrational.
- Earlier, May 20, APEC asked the court to force Apple to allow Fortentite to return to the iOS, once again debating that Apple was creating artificial road blocks to prevent epic. Apple files for stay while epic argue for implementation of the restoration. The judge has cited the case with a US criminal lawyer for possible blasphemy charges against the epic.
