What is Game Center CX?
A Japanese TV series about the escape of an employee of the legendary company “Game Center CX” (Shenia Erno, alias “Kacho” or “Chief”). Each event has details of their efforts to beat a selected retro video game, usually over a day, or sometimes more. Areno, who is actually a comedian, presents himself as someone who is disappointed in most video games, though he claims that he is skilled in certain species. Whether it is really good or not, it depends on the audience to decide.
During an event, there are different intervals where Areno is shown traveling in Japan, usually an arcade (or “game center”) suggested by a series viewer. Other ridiculous classes are also surrounded by a gaming action offering.
How do I see this thing?
The show has been broadcast on military TV in Japan since 2003 and continues to this day. The English dub version of the series called “Retro Game Master” was briefly streamed online, but (according to my knowledge?) Is no longer available by legal sources. Many episodes of the series have been released by the fans sub -titles and online. The group that was most known for it is retired besides everyone, but a new group has recently picked up a mantle and new releases are being posted regularly!
