The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller is already on the way to being one of my favorite controllers. After joining hands with a game pad in the recent Nintendo Switch 2 event in Paris, I was deeply impressed by the upgrade to the table.
From its shape and quality construction to everything the overall performance and reaction is at the point. It does not see all this change at the expense of the face – to endure its predecessor ignorant seleme – but once you get in your hands, you won’t want to go back.
In the event, I had the opportunity to play with the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller in various games. Mario Cart WorldDonkey Kong Kanla, And Street Fighter 6. And this will probably be my Go -to -Switch 2 gamepad when I get a console for myself on June 5. I have only a concern related to a stick with the new controller, but otherwise it has made a nearly perfect first impression.
Step in the right direction.
Let’s start with the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, according to the features, which you can expect. As in detail Nintendo’s official websiteYou can still expect Gero Motion and Bullet in Amibo functionality like the original pro controller.
Switch 2 Pro Controller also has our ‘C’ button to access the game chat feature (though we weren’t able to test it in the event) and a newly added 3.5mm audio jack, which I think is one of the most welcome addition to the switch 2 Pro controller.
As far as the new features are concerned, Nintendo’s proprietary HD Rimble 2 has been enforced, and we also have two re -capable of buttons on the back section (labeled GL and GR) that you can assign to any button as a secondary input. This is the thing we see on many controllers of the Nintendo Switch, and I’m glad that Nintendo has finally chosen to add them to the official hardware.
Rapidly wandering HD Rumble 2, it certainly felt great during the game. Overall, it seems that there is a good balance between ease and depth. Are breaking the scenes to break the bits Donkey kong banana, For example, it felt properly quick and sticky. Meanwhile, the corner is easily flowing around the corner or collides with the red shell in the back Mario Cart World Both registered realisticly.
Performance of peak
Now, in terms of overall performance, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller is almost every clear upgrade. The biggest improvement here is in the sense of thumb sticks. They are amazingly smooth and precise, which I can see is a real honor like future racers in the best fighting games Kirby Air Riders (Assuming that this game will be cousin like a cube Original and will be exactly), and really no possible future Super Break Bruce Title
The face buttons also feel significantly less faster than their predecessors. As I mentioned in my Central Nintendo Switch 2 Hand on, I’m not sure if the switch 2 Pro Controller’s button is using Microsich Tech, but I think Nintendo’s solution is not far away. Pressing facial buttons, bumpers and stimulations immediately affected all.
Once again, it will be terrific for the games that require immediate and exact inputs. But I can understand that some Analog triggers may be able to abandon the implementation of the trigger option or the trigger lock. I personally don’t think this is a big deal, but if a great game of racing makes a way to switch 2, they can’t feel as good as they do on other platforms.
Even though it comes to a depa, my comments do not shine so much. Not because it’s bad – this work gets fine. When I cannot understand any major differences than the original Pro Controller’s DPPad. Once I have the real as well as the Switch 2 Pro Controller in my hands, I will need to compare them more directly.
Not to grow or grow?
Finally, when it comes to the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, I have a slight concern, and this is about the possibility of a stick growing. I would like the controller’s thumb sticks to love the half effect solution, thus minimizing the risk of increasing the risk of choosing a magnetic contact against the physical provided by more conventional potentians.
Nintendo’s website is not mentioned at all, nor has the company clearly describes its use for the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller or Joey 2. This makes me believe that it will not be here, which means that it is flowing during the life of switch 2.
During the Nintendo Switch 2 developer round table in the Paris event, I had the opportunity to ask if the Console controller hardware would improve the stick Direfit Front. Although I did not receive a definite response, hardware design lead Tatsuia Sasaki had to say: “The new Joey is designed from 2 controllers ground -ups. They are designed to move big and smooth.”
Certainly a slightly vague response, but if Joey 2 and possibly the switch 2 Pro controller is really built from the ground, it is likely that the development team has taken into account matters like stick Darfut. However, now, it seems that we will certainly not know unless people put them in their hands.
Overall, I already like the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. This is compared to the original model. 79.99 / £ 74.99 (like the same Mario Cart World, Fun is enough), so it is not just as friendly as I like.
But in view of the current tariff situation and uncertainty in the United States, this is usually going to be a problem of switch 2 hardware. Nevertheless, people who choose to take someone should have a very comfortable and satisfactory game experience on Nintendo Switch 2. And assuming that it would be compatible with the PC like the original, it could also be one of the best PC controllers in 2025.
