Heado Cozema says plas were very bad for the real death tension, up 60 % of testers said it was “a terrible game.”
In an interview to Edge Magazine, Kojima explained, “I have done a lot of monitoring tests for the first tension of death. I will know that four out of ten people will like the game, and six will say it was a terrible game.”
The 40 % positive rating rating is serious, but for Kojima “this is a good balance.” Thankfully, however, this is not something he is repeating with the stress of death. In these tests, he says, “Everyone seems positive.” He says that is the good news for Sony, but he personally wishes that “it was a bit more controversial.”
Identifying that blockbuster films often require 80 % approval rating before going to cinema houses, he says, “I don’t want to make such games. I am not interested in appealing to the market on a large scale, or selling millions of copies.”
Kojima has pointed out that she “can’t afford failure” – “I have to take care of my studio, my staff, our production budget. But the summary is that I just don’t want to reproduce something that is already in the world. I want to make something new.” Thankfully, Kojima has a juice that allows it to sell millions of copies – recently, Death Standing approved 20 million players. This is very impressive if you consider this 40 % approval rating.
