Note: This thread is not telling me that I like game key carts. It is just highlighting the benefits of how more such releases are now recognized.
For many fans, the game key carts is not a popular form of physical release, I praised Nintendo for labeling them clearly. This is a surprisingly positive step for a form of physical release that is often not known on other platforms until the last moment. Since they have no real standards there and usually need outside sources to test what the release is actually because the publishers remain silent.
I think the publishers know that this type of release is not so popular, but unlike PS/Xbox, Nintendo is making it known by jumping so that users are not confused as time goes on. On other platforms, it is often just a small matte pin that can be easily ignored and does not even indicate what is needed to be installed in particular.

I also think that it helps that we now have an industry for such a release. In Dom: Dark Edge Thread (which is a game key PS/Xbox release), I highlight how we call these releases as “coasters”, which does not necessarily work in a wider spectrum, especially because it is a term that has never achieved any traction.
To clarify this, Nintendo did not release this kind. We have been dealing with such topics since PS4/XB1. Right now, the overall physical community can be more easily identified and explain what they are now for the public.
