Although this has been an important place in Las Vegas for the past ten years, I have never heard of the LVL UP Expo before I attended last week. It’s surprising, because I visit conventions all year long. Every year I go to competitive programs like San Diego Comic, Summer Games Fest, Paks East, Paks West, Bilzcoon (when this happens) and D33 Expo (when this happens) as well as in competitive programs like Pokémon World Champions. From now on, the LVL UP Expo will be in the upper part of the list.
Unlike most fan expos, it is a bit difficult to fix the LVL up Expo. It is a unique combination of WWE, this is a unique combination of Anime Expo, Evo, Packs, Comic ear, and, believed or not, it is unlike any convention I have never seen. I am sorry to lose such a cold show in all these years, and now I am on a mission to ensure that no one loses it.
Convention everything
The LVL UP Expo is held every spring in the southern hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and sees more than 100,000 participants in three days. Many of what you will find on LVL Up can find you in almost any fan convention.
The exhibition is covered with floor, popup shops and branded photos to finish, full of usual suspects. Samsung was there to show the call of duty mobile on the new Galaxy S25. Bob Ross and G, which were the mysterious boxes in their usual price in stylon boxes. The Wild Bill was there with its various root beer and giant copper mugs. There were meetings and congratulations with Casplay Competitions, Mobile Phones, and celebrities (Neil Nebin was especially popular). If you are looking for a fine experience of the fan convention, the LVL up checks all boxes.
The thing that impressed me was how far from the general scope of the convention. Meeting in a comic mine and seeing the Artist Elijas (the largest ever), but you will not see the Evo -like Fighting Game Tournament, TCG events for five different games, and Hallow 2, Mario Cart: Double Dash, and Sonic the Fighters Tournies Retro World Series. You may see a popup maid cafe in the Anim Expo (no decision) but you will not even get the solo developers with their new Indi Games Demo Demo. Whatever your necklace, it probably has a place in the LVL up.
Did I mention Pro Wrestling? There was a full -sized wrestling ring between the retro console zone and Johnny Rockets 50 styling Hamburger, where the wrestling show took place over the weekend. This is something I’ve never seen in any mobile phones or gaming conventions, but it took the Expo to the next level.
I am usually quite satisfied with a convention after the weekend, but it was not enough to enjoy everything that offered the LVLup Expo for three days. Not only because much had to be done, but also because a lot was to be done for free.
Getting the value of your money
I was invited to the LVL UP Expo by the Prime Minister Studios, a developer, a publisher, and support studio, which has been a hand in making or distributing many high -profile games, including Black Meth: Vokong, Hanki: Star Rail, and the incoming Yoka Replay. With the Prime Minister’s Studios, with some other publishers, there was not a huge demand for the demo for new and upcoming games, who played without waiting, which was a breath of fresh air for someone who stood on the endless lines on PAX. I had a lot of fun with the Dragon’s death – a magnificent mash of diabelo 2 and dead cells – that I spent only two hours grinding the demo.
Wherever you see on the LVL up Expo you will find something to get your hands. The Prime Minister had a Japanese arcade next to the Studio Booth, which had more than 200 games, ready for a free game. You could only spend the whole weekend playing arcade games, and many people did. Near the wrestling ring, a pair of famous Beatle Bots was for the exhibition, which was brought from the nearby Beatle Boots field. Here you can raise your hands on small boats and fight your war, or test some drones in the way of a little obstacle.
Mario Party, Super Break Bruce Ultimate, and Mario Cart were open seats for 8 Delux. When no tournament was taking place, you can use any CRT in the Retro area to play a DreamCast or Sega Saturn game. A whole corner of the tournament area was dedicated to VR, and anyone could play. There was even an OSU! The tournament is set up in the tournament hall with more than one hundred PCs. OSU!
I will not remember another LVL up Expo. It likes everything about fan conventions, and many things I can’t get anywhere else. If you are Las Vegas local or just looking for an excuse to go to San City, mark your calendar on the last weekend of April, then brush your Hallow 2 tech and start keeping it together that you always want to wear.
