I love Blue Prince for one simple reason: it’s the closest thing we’ll get to a House of Leaves game

Have you ever dreamed where you see a second room in your house? There may be a small door in front of the bathroom, a small hatch with the stairs, or an attic that does not exist. This is a theme in which my dreams of night are very much: Dreams are not scary, but a particular horror follower is sticking to them like sweat on a bed sheet. Blue Prince is probably the game that has ever come close to me to resurrect these emotions when I play it.

In the Rogeliak puzzle game, you are the heir to your uncle’s house. There is a catch – you need to find the 46th room hidden in this 45 room mansion. This is, in itself, a strange basis, which includes opening a door in the basic loop of the game and then drafting a room beyond it (three blueprints) draft. You can one day go to the entrance to the left in one closet, the second day in a great dining room, and the second in the spare room, all half dry paint and incomplete dreams.
