Yubisoft’s Mark Rubin has announced his separation from the company as its direct service shooter X -Defent has been officially set up.
Robin, who was an executive producer on this title, shared that he is leaving the developer Social media.
He wrote, “I have decided to leave the industry and spend more time with my family, so unfortunately you won’t hear about making another game about me.”
“I care about the shooter space and hope that someone else can pick up the flag I was trying to take and try to make a game again, treating the players, treating them with respect, and listening to them.”
Ubesft announced that it would close the X -Defant last December.

As a result, two production studios were shut down, and about 300 300 employees were affected by the leave.
Ubesft’s Chief Studios and Portfolio Officer Mary Sophie de Wobert cited the game “far away from reaching the results needed to enable more important investment” because the X -Defent is the reason for going offline.
In October 2024, Rubin rejected the news that the X -Defent was on the way to sunset. He said he was in meetings about the potential plans for the game, he said, and that the team was focused on improving experience and adding more content.
However, in his recent post on social media, he highlighted the issues arising during development, which led to the fall of the X -Defent.
These include “paying a tech engine loan using an engine that was not designed for our tasks” and “never to fix engineering resources.”
He also said that “lack of proper resources to make content for the game” is also a hindrance to development.
He explained, “I can say that everyone’s (giant, headquarters, etc.) was in the right place, but we didn’t have gas to go to a free game game distance.” “I really want to praise and greet all the devotees who worked on the X -Defant.
“Cards were very decorated against you, but you were really able to create a fun and terrific game.”
Rubin added: “I also think we have a reasonable impact in space. We have seen a lot of reaction to what we were doing with other sports and who speaks the volume to me. I am really sorry that we cannot provide and maintain the game for a long time.”
