In the hardware team at the PC gamer, we all love a good handheld gaming PC, whether it’s Valve Steam Deck, Asos Rogue Elx, or an MSI claw 8 AI. Whether you want a long life portable play qualification or sheer performance, there is something for everyone in the market. Almost all of these all use the AMD processor, but the claw 8 AI Intel stands to use the lunar lake chip. But if rumors are believed, its next repetition will be included in the crowd and the AMD Z2 will play extreme games.
While this news is right now popup The lab of EgorThe first proposal of being appeared in January by X user Kodakomando. Current version of MSI’s claws 8 AI+ handheld sports Intel Core Ultra 7 258v The name of the processor-its architecture is known by the lunar lake, it is eight core, eight thread chip, which is Bitley Mage Integrated GPU.
This is one of the best small laptops/handheld chips we have seen in a long time and it gives MSI claws plenty of 8 AI+ gaming, easily defeats the Asos Rogue Elx. This is not the best gaming hand -handed PC to buy you, though it is partly because it is very expensive because it is very expensive. At $ 900, the claw is far more sufficient than 8 allies X and is more than steam deck.
Most of this is in the Intel lunar leak processor, as it plays on Ram chips on the package. Most laptops and handheld manufacturers are the source of the cheapest potential memory module to improve profit margins, but this is not possible to the basic range of ultra -200V. And possibly this is why MSI is considering converting to an AMD processor for the next version of the claws.
In particular, it is being claimed that the MSI will use the next Raisen Z2 Exterium APU. The AMD announced the chip in the CES event this year in January, and it may be the main source of claim that the MSI will use it. We have not yet seen a one in the meat, but like the original Raisen Z1 Extra, it has eight cores, 16 threads, and a boost watch of 5.0 GHz. Handling graphics are 16 RDNA 3.5 computing units, 33 % higher than Z1.
This will probably give the edge of the lunar lake chip in the current claws 8 but not from a very large margin, because the Z2 Extra will still be limited to 35W. This is not really the main reason why the MSI processor will want to change the amount of money from each unit, even accounting for the fact that it will need to be fully new and cool down the mother board.
Naturally, we would just like to have a cheap paw 8, but I suspect that MSI would like to stay at the same price, as it already markets its handheld as a high -end model. Obviously, we have to wait now and see what MSI releases in the end, but I am sad to see the lunar lake disappears. It is a wonderful little chip, which you think is far more Poke than you think, but it is also a bit expensive for the market that it intends.
