Netflix gaming boss Allen Taskin has outlined his vision for the future of gaming in Netflix, and aims to help reduce “friction” as WiI has helped to open things for wider audience.

Taskin hopes that Netflix can create more “party games” that can help people get entertained quickly-without needing a console or special controller.
“For party sports, I am sure we can provide immediate entertainment using the phone controller as a very modern controller,” he said. “On every phone you have Jeroscope, you have a microphone, you have a speaker, you have a touch screen … If you give this to creative people, what do they do? Whether you are alone, or with two people, or with 20 people, why not really engage something?”
Taskin added that what he is passionate about in Netflix is helping to bring sports to more and more people.
“Similarly, the mobile has now moved the gaming beyond 3.2–3.3 billion players to go beyond 150–200 million players, I am sure we can reach a large number of players,” he said. “Does it really need to be a very complicated RPG -style game? There is a place for them, of course. But it is interesting for me. Netflix is giving us the opportunity to access these people.
