New PS5 Setting Makes Hearing Footsteps Easier In Call Of Duty

Listening to the enemy’s footsteps in the Call of Duty can often feel important, especially in competitive ways such as searching and destroying and Warzone Beetle Royal. Thankfully, a new sound setting can help players at PlayStation 5 more clearly hear these critical sounds.

Sony developed a new system software update for PlayStation 5 on April 24, and includes an addition of audio focuses, which is a capable feature that gives players more clearly and listening to some parts of the game audio.

Call of Duty PC players have been using something like this for years with equality setting. The loud EQ is beyond the high and low audio of the game, which is minimized in loud and unnecessary sounds, while the enemy’s footsteps promote calm people.

As a PlayStation 5 player, I always assume that my PC opponents can hear me from a mile away. I decided to try the new setting of audio focus to overcome some of their benefits in Warzone.

Confession, I had doubts first because it is a new layout and it does not offer so much control over sound like PC’s loud EQ. However, it certainly helped promote steps in Warzone, and I was able to catch the enemies hiding on me with a lot of distances. There were some instances where I probably received a fraud, because I could hear my opponent so far and was immediately ready with my gun.

There are some predictions to choose, but especially there is a high pitch setting to increase the foot stips, which enhances “steps like high frequency sounds and metal noises”. Once you choose it, then you can choose weak, medium or strong.

Audio focus certainly provides competitive edge for PS5 players, but I would not recommend using this boost high pitch on a strong layout, though, it only increases more than in the footsteps. Some metal sounds that increase it, such as crack metal from planes in Bonayard, can be really painful on the ears.

At the end of the day, this is still a leakage feature that is more designed for players with the actual hearing loss. Therefore, if you are not a person who needs a layout, it is better to try on a weak or medium -sized strength. You are not able to ruin your hearing on the opponent of the Warzone.

This audio fox setting also works in Black Ops 6 and should also work for other competitive sports at PlayStation 5.
