*By covering only 3D games here, retro titles will have to cover someone else (NES/Arcade)
Note: Master Collection contains additional content found in PS Vita version of 1 and 2
Master Collection (Sigma, Sigma 2, and Razi Edge) and Ninja Gaden 2 Black are currently available on the Xbox Game Pass
After today’s 4 and Black announcements, everyone interested in playing through the series wanted to make a simple guide for everyone.
The video below can be deepened. Anyone can comment on more specific changes between the version.
If you are interested in switch performances, see the threadmark if you want to play the entire series on the go.
Ninja Gaden 1:
Sports Options – Ninja Gaden (Xbox), Ninja Gaden Black (Xbox, Disk via Xbox BC or Digital), Ninja Gaden Sigma (All Current Platform)
- Ninja Gaden and Ninja Gaden Black are the “original” experience and black is considered to be a complete release of the original title (Black introduces Ninja Dog “Easy” mode)
- Ninja Gaden Sigma is a re -version of the original, which is most commonly known as “easy” to retrieve some elements, such as more stores/checkpoints.
Result: Depending on any version you are looking for. If you want real actual experience, Xbox BC Route is the best way to go because it offers excellent performance. However, the changes to Sigma are not so negative if you are not a purest and can make a better first impression if you are not ready for a real challenge.
Ninja Gaden 2:
Sports Options – Ninja Gaden 2 (Xbox 360, Disc or Digital Through Xbox BC), Ninja Gaden Sigma 2 (All Current Platform), Ninja Gaden Black 2 (PC, PS5, XBS)
*Ninja Gaden 2 Black Differences TBA
- Ninja Gaden offers 2 many enemies and tonnes of gore and decimal.
- Ninja Gaden 2 Sigma reduced the enemy’s count and regained the entire game around it. So the enemies can feel more sponge. Gore and deterioration were reduced.
- Ninja Gaden 2 Black is apparently a combination of two versions of preliminary notifications. It also includes gorge/blood as well as the original upgrade system. The enemy’s count is slightly high but it does not seem to be like NG2.
Wordak: Ninja Gaden 2 Sigma’s release was greatly changed, contrary to the game. Although there is still a lot of fun, the changes offer a much more different experience than it was realized. For a real experience, it is recommended to play the original through Xbox BC. If this is not an option, Ninja Gaden Black 2 is the next best option, as it is based on Sigma, it still tries to experience the original than Sigma 2 (while still maintains many positive changes). Sigma 2 is fine if you want to play through the maximum series as it is already involved in the master collection.
Ninja Gaden 3:
Sports Options – Ninja Gaden 3 (Xbox 360, PS3), Ninja Gaden 3: Randar Edge (all current platform, WiIU, Disc or Digital via Xbox BC)
The result: Wiiu just because the gamepad is very good. Seriously, unlike other entries in the series, NG: Rely has a considerable consistency between all its release, so a modern way of playing it will fulfill your right.
Quick Summary
– Ninja Gaden is played the best through Sigma (easy) or black (hard, Train OG experience)
– Ninja Gaden 2 is played best through Xbox BC (hard, OG experience) or Black 2 (with a better dispersion of Sigma 2 but not all the features found in the OG game. Sigma 2 can be left if any of these options are viable.
– Ninja Gaden 3: again (Strengthen the platform, better) is the best version of a faulty title
