The daily drip -feed feed feeds of Switch 2 News continues rapidly on the Nintendo Today app, and this time they have taken a look at the case carrying the official console. It also works as our first look at a real -life switch 2 cartridges for the Mario Cart World.
Earlier, the publisher showed a common digital makeup of new cartridges in the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, noting that they would be “shaped like Nintendo Switch Switch Game Cards”, but now red and “very fast data reading speed”. Would you believe that this new Mario Cart World cartridge looks exactly like the switch 1 cart, but is red?

The new cartridge slot still fits the old switch 1 cartridge to allow the switch 2 to be compatible backwards, so it is understood that old and new carts should be the same shape and size – otherwise, the console may need two separate slots for sports. Given all other expenses around the switch 2 launch, it is definitely a good thing that we will not need a cartridge adapter above all of this.
Despite Switch 2’s controversial game key card, Nintendo’s president says, “Physical games are still an important part of our business.”
