The last part of the American Season 2 is near, and it seems that viewers are not the only ones who feel the pain of the characters very deeply. The show’s star Pedro Pascal recently talked about his “unhealthy mindset” that comes into new episodes, filled with shocking and dramatic moments that have nothing to do with the affected people.
Pascal joined his stars during a press conference in Los Angeles, attended by Gamesradar+ and other media, where the team discussed the most expected new season and what fans can expect after that. The premiere of the show will be a maximum premiere on April 13.
“I think about giving everyone a show of a show is really interesting about what everyone likes and everyone has worked hard and put a lot in it,” said Pascal, “
“My mentality was grateful for coming back and still, at the same time, this experience, more than anyone else, it is difficult for me to go through the characters and how it feels to me, in a way it is not very healthy. And so I feel their pain.”
As the fans of the game know very well, the next part of the story includes some difficult moments for Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’s Eli, followed by the end of the last season of the American Season 1. Season 1 and 2 have a five -year jump, which sees both characters.
Pascal reminded, “I feel like it was a beautiful setup of Craig (Mazin) and Neil (Dirkman) that the first thing I shot was in the order of you (Ramsey) and me and an intimate setting.” He added, “There is a wonderful distance between these two and the scene to play, but we still sit on the seat and fuck and laugh around it and such things. And it was amazingly relieved, it was like coming home.”
Although the personal relationships between the main characters are the heart of this show, the last of us is known to echo our reality. Pascal said, “Such catheters are a very healthy and sometimes sick happiness, and to see human relations under crisis and a political ideology, social theory, and to remove it from the world, in which we are living.”
