Understanding the perfect video game trailer is an art. You need to tell a story, introduce some stakes, and ideally to be excited about holding the controller in a few short minutes. And a passionate game trailer editor believes that the second trailer of the GTA 6 could have been a bit better.
Editor Drake Lao, who has helped to create a ton of game trailers, which includes half of life’s Alex and Psychonitis 2, said Thereafter The incoming game looks “amazing”, but its trailer does not give much money about the story, except for the fact that we play as a couple of crime.
“A trailer is designed to do this work well, which is to provoke our emotions and show a group of goods from something that we have never seen before,” says Liu. “This trailer, or a group of B rolls with music, can get the same thing. But that doesn’t make it a good trailer. Just because people get hype, it does not mean that it is a good trailer.”
Continuing, Lao added, “The only thing we know about these characters is: they commit a crime and they are a couple,” before they are encouraged. “Why are they committing a crime? Are they being forced to commit a crime? What’s the reason?” Just beyond being rich, that is.
The Rock Star Games website gave us more information about Jason and Lucia, which is our sophisticated Proto duo, which is apparently caught in a job, but not mostly in the trailer.
The other trailer had basically a job, though: next year, softening the GTA 6 delay. And what The Internet was immediately set on fire on an incredible tech, while more fans had to work to try to accurately make their maps a year before the launch.
And to play the devil’s lawyer, I agree with Liu in the sense that, yes, the second trailer does not really tell us anything that we did not know from his first glance. But think about the smallest moments of life that we find throughout the trailer – Jason is going about her daily tasks and wandering through women, a random NPC canoeing, the Lucia community is coming home from the community service, throwing her keys to the table and then falling into Jason’s arms. How rare is it that this expensive game of AAA shows the true signs of life?
The Rock Star says the GTA 6 trailer 2 was “Game Play and Cut Sense of Equal Parts”, and I wonder where the gameplay is.
