Rig M2 Stream Star: One minute Review
Rig M2 Stream Star is an amazing product. Despite paying the bill as a premium microphone for streamers and more common gaming, it is as easy as they come with plug and play functionality and do not contain software.
You just need to slot the cable included in a free USB port, select it as your preferred recording device in the choice of OBS or Odacity, and you are ready to go in a second case.
This, in the upper part of its impressive compact size, if you are looking for a portable microphone that you can easily use with a gaming laptop, you can easily use to maintain your series.
Sadly, its original feature set is extremely limited to play with just a basic gin dial, dumb functionality, and sidewalk. In the upper part of a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, it offers a Bluetooth 5.4 contact option for this side tone monitoring, which contains Qualcomm APTXHD Codec compatible for 24 -bit high residue audio.
It is quite modern, and according to Nican, the world’s first, but eventually doesn’t seem to be the most useful thing. It works very well and is highly responsible for the overall delay without any significant delays, but I can’t imagine that most streams will not have a good pair of microphone monitoring llands wired gaming airbeds, or a good pair of so -called.
With a unique angular appearance, the microphone design is quite amazing and refreshing for the gaming product and helps to separate it. Unfortunately, though, the used materials feel disappointing for price.
It is plastic in the hands, with such dials that rotate a bit during the twist. When you are dealing with the product of $ 129.99 and when you build more premiums and improved matters with numerous other options, from cheap Blue ET and Hyperoxy Docucet to more expensive Stelres, it is difficult to build more premiums and better.
As far as performance is concerned, it is decent but there is nothing to write home. The microphone offers 24 -bit resolution, which has a sample rate of 192 kg, so the quality of the appropriate studio, but it can be panicked and is difficult to position properly without a boom arm.
Lack of software also means nothing in the way of cancellation of noise, so avoid this model unless you have a pre -calm recording space or software solution.
Rig M2 Stream Star: Price and Availability
- The price is 9 129.99
- Available through Amazon
- Value is objectionable
Rig M2 Stream Star is priced at 9 129.99 and is available in the United States via Amazon. This price leads it to the highest premium end of the market, but, it is above the rate of 24 -bit audio and 192 kg, it really has nothing to do with it. Hyperoxy Docost is the only example of an affordable competitor that benefits from a strong set of software, tremendous audio performances, and more premium design.
As far as there are more expensive options, JBL Quantum Stream Studio and Stelrells alias have significantly more features. There are a variety of pickup patterns to choose in the TNN game compatibility, as well as the more strong Opto JBL quantum stream studio, which makes it a better fit for many setups, and, once again, some great software. As far as the Steelcerea alias is concerned, you get relatively HEAS luxurious design, so good plugs and play software.
The rig M2 stream star sample rate is much higher than the competition, though (most models contain 48 or 96 kg), so if it is important to you, its price can make the stomach a bit easier. Here is also the unique functionality of the Bluetooth side tone that depends on your peripheral and setup, it may be useful and may be worth the cost of admission.

Rig M2 Stream Star: Design and Features
- Unique looks, but feels cheap
- The very basic set of features
- There is no added software
Rig M2 Stream Star has a lot of attractive design. The capsule contains a tendency, which combines smooth rectangles and trapside. It is almost visible and very compact for the boot, when using its added stand is about 6.5in / 165 mm long.
In front of the microphone is dominated by a large metal grill, which is sitting on top of two dials. The top dial controls your headphone settings when a synchronized pair is connected through a 3.5 mm jack or Bluetooth. Turning the dial increases the overall volume of the headphone or decreases, while pressing it makes the headset silence once. Holding the buttons enables Bluetooth pearring mode, which is indicated by the flashing color light around the base of the button.
The second dial controls the acquisition of microphone, though it is a bit difficult to adjust. It is difficult to tell your current level until you use a side tone. Generally, I will easily boot the microphone software to change my current settings on the same level that I wanted – but because there is none of it here you need to do it through the ear.
Lack of software also means that easy steps such as activating sides tones or changing the sample rate are convicted and you need to rotate in your system settings. The added Quick Start Guide is filled with screenshots of the old version of the Windows Sound Settings tab, which becomes non -helpful to those on Windows 11. Simplicity is a good thing and I usually love the functionality of the plug and play, but a point comes where not to immediately access the important settings is just disturbing.
Pressing the Gain Dial quickly silences the microphone, which is standard at this price but is still an easy feature. Both dial plastics are built and feel very cheap, even when they are being adjusted, it revolves around. The process of rotating the dial also causes many audible opinions, which will become a problem if you are accustomed to using a model where you can quickly adjust your settings to the stream.
The added stand is the basic and under effect, effectively a two part of the plastic is a part of the Part Haun, which has a rubber level that does not feel particularly strong and is kept simultaneously through cheap screws. The microphone is mostly compatible with boom weapons through a standard 5/8 thread, which is good and gives you more options to work.
A small detail that I appreciated is that the microphone has a small plastic panel in the back part of it that is kept in place by magnets and can be easily removed. Its purpose is a place where you can show your branding, which is a beautiful and novel.
Rig M2 Stream Star: Performance
- It’s easy to set up
- It feels good when I am appropriately positioned
- Background noise victim
The setup process is very simple, but I quickly found that the rig M2 stream rotates quite till you are careful about positioning. I am accustomed to testing a lot of different cardiovascular mickens, but it seems that this time I do not see a normal place to work. Instead, the microphone needs to be fine under the mouth to make a speech reliably, so if you already have nothing, it is certainly worth investing in the boom arm.
Once I felt this position well, at least, I managed to record. I made a high sincere recording that I made in the auditate was very detailed and my voice was well caught – at least when there was no background noise. On this note, the Rig M2 stream star easily raises the background noise, in which everything from my mouse click to the cars is in detail like life.
This will not be a problem in the studio environment, but if you are a streamer or content creator, you will need a separate software solution to cancel the noise in OBS choice. This is not the end of the world, but at this price almost every gaming model of large brands comes out of the box with the features of its own noise.
When the microphone is connected to a wired or wireless audio device, the features of the side tone perform well. There is no delay in Bluetooth, which is very impressive. I tested the microphone with some different pairs of wireless headphones (both gaming and more common users) and each model easily folded. Since the attached headphone can be used as audio output devices, it can double as a way to enable Bluetooth 5.4 audio on your computer if it does not support it.
Should I buy a rig M2 stream star?
If buy it …
If not buy it …
Also consider …
After some other options? Both of these models give the Rig M2 stream a run for his money.
