Ever since the back of the USB-C charger read and handled up to 60w. Well here are some results that I have just based on testing with Mario Cart (not other sports owners, but I have seen tests that it is about 2 hours of battery life so it is safe to say one of a heavy game). Tested with ordinary USB-PD chargers, I have similar battery banks from 67W to 100W.
IWALK Laptop Power Bank, Screen with 20000mAh 65W

With a different power bank. The battery life is about 30, but Ive has not seen the charging speed curve up to the top %.

Gaming goes up to 20ish W with some spikes.

Docupply with 200W Power Bank with a plugin cable in the back. About 20.

Similar performance with the official charger/cable. 20ish+ w. 12-15W when you charge.
So what is the lesson here?
- Like switch 1, charging is slow. It may take more time to completely charge a SW2 than it is to drain in 2 hours.
- Fortunately this means that you don’t really need anything to charge with switch 2. Any 25W+ USB-C PD charger you should get the maximum charging speed. Although the USB-A is not more than 3W, do not do it. Also with the battery pack. Any USB-C PD Pack 25W+should be fine. One is if you are in a travel scenario where you can reach the HDMI port on Hotel TV, but the power outlet situation is IFFY. Some ‘switch branded’ power bank does not need to buy, or is not excessive until you want them to charge them laptops or steam decks or other heavy devices. May only 45w dok for the overhead in other heavy games?
- The SW2 battery is about 5.2K MAH, which is a small larger than your average flagship large smartphone, so mathematics still apply. After factoring in 10K MAH battery energy loss, you should get 1.5ish extra charge. 20K will take you 3ish. Able to think about before traveling
- I am sure that SW2 has different profiles vs. Portable to achieve high resolutions, but W/E is not increasing the power draw by doing its work, or if in all vs. Portable Mode, at least with Mario Cart. Other heavy SW2 sports have not been tested. When I already own them on steam, don’t just look at the reasons for buying them.
- Portable and dock were hoping to see a large number of at least, but regardless of its battery %, this is not a beautiful linear charging curve. I think the batteries may be fine for 8 years. The swelling is useless if you forget to turn off before a trip, there is no option to charge immediately.
Just ask another scenario to test.
