I have tried to get into the game on various occasions and finally clicked for me last week. First, like a sandbox/toy box and like an RTS second. Many people consider it the spiritual successor of men’s men: the thing that stands from the Assault Squad 2 and other RTS Games is something that is called direct control. Direct control gives you the ability to control a unit in the field as it is the third person shooter. Can’t trust AI to remove the incoming tank? Do yourself!
