SteelSeries QcK Performance review: enthusiast mouse pads go mainstream

Stelrez made a name for a reliable mouse pad in an era where most players used to use whatever players used with their computer – or no mouse pad was at all! Their QCK limit has been tolerated as a popular option for more than 20 years, but the mouse pad space has seen late evolution, which has mirrored similar blasts for mechanical keyboards and ultra -light rats. Boutike mouse pad firms are now developing specialized options for the Epitaspiconados, from low friction speed pad to foreign material, from ‘mud’ pads made from foreign material. This meant that it was time to refresh at the Steelcerez headquarters, with Danish firm QC’s performance lineup taking indications of the brands that we are reviewing today.

Here are three QC performance pads, each with his own feeling. The balance is closest to the traditional QC formula, while the speed chooses for a smart design that improves and improves control and goes on the other route with a rouver, a rouver, designed for precision. Every pad is available in large (49×42 cm, $ 40/£ 40) And XL (90×40 cm, $ 50/£ 50) Size

These three different types are fabric pads – not yet glasses or glass hybrid options – but there are material differences. The speed pad uses a nylon mixture, the balance pad is ‘tightly woven’ polyester and nylon, and the control pad adopts ‘high density’ polyester. Stelrells provided each substance close -ups to their review units, and it is interesting to see how the highly compared the speedy detail of the balancing and rapidly appearing in the control pad.

Beyond three options, there are also some smaller generation upgrades that differentiate each performance model from their QC predecessors. The most obvious is the cloth tag on the upper right corner of the mouse, which is yellow to control, blue for balance and pink for speed. Reverse steelcerez is written with ‘Normal’ with Catch Frees. I am a fan of such design contacts, especially with a large voting tag on the side of the 60 -Hood Rapid Trigger keyboard, and it works here.

Internally, the mouse pad uses a 2.9 mm layer of ‘high grade nephew’ foam to ensure that they are flat. Add to a level of 0.6 mm of each pad and you end up with a thickness of 3.5 mm, which falls between the standard QC and the thick QC. The low profile sewing edge is also welcomed, which increases stability without the abrasive structure of a thick, low -end stitched mouse pad.

In fact, the Delta Force and the Counter Strike 2 had a lot of fun to try each of the three QC performance pads. Both of these are relatively Tract Tactical FPS titles, something like the finals or Fortnite, which is slightly rotated, but the game can still produce nearly chaos that can produce quarters fighter, which tests your ability to move faster and unpredictable opponents. I chose the “best cheap ultraviolet” mouse for testing, as you will need a lot of light weight – and the 56g zipin z2 fits the mini bill well.

Generally, the pads promised to metaporated tons, in which the speedpad offers a potentially high -speed capacity at the expense of overshooting, while the control pad needs to be pushed a bit more to go, but it seemed as if it stops at a penny. The balance pad was exactly in the middle, and it felt like an old QCK pad that I’ve been using for years. The surface also felt strong enough, while resisting the pressure down, unlike the more soft glass hybrid pad that I was using earlier. This means that if you hold the mouse firmly in the clutch situation, the amount of friction does not change, which is usually preferred.

Playing a good counter strike (and most of all, most FPS) to release your mouse to an enemy is about to take pre -position on the maximum potential positions, so I more clearly noticed the difference in glide for these more terrifying scenes where you need to extinguish different directions. Here, the quick reaction capacity of the speedpad felt the most comfortable option with the automatic weapon, but the control pad with a sniper rifle in the hand understood a bit more to ensure accuracy in these last few mm of adjustment before the shot.

It was the same in the Delta Force, both the high -speed and the control pad provided good results after a short mental adjustment period, which felt a little better for the control pad to the Sniper Rifles such as single shot weapons or AT4 launchers. I would say that choosing your mouse is far more efficient than your mouse choice PadBut it is interesting to play with these different levels of powers whether you can tear any other little advantage on your rivals.

QC Performance - Different Options

The challenge here is deciding which QC’s performance pad is right for you. For example, you will have access to these three options, and Stelliere says it is aimed at presenting exactly in some stores, but for most people you will need to buy more than one or multiple varieties before you have the opportunity to try angrily. There’s Quiz on the site of the staleceries Also, which tries to get a sense of your preferences, play styles and game species before making a decision (and signing you for Stelrez Newsletters), which may be able to try as a first step.

The best advice I can give is on a large scale play style. For FPS players, sports or roles that include many high -speed mouse movements, such as Fortatinite or Call of Duty, are probably the best suitable for speed pads, while those who prefer more tactical style and slow firing weapons, such as the counter -strike or the control pad. More balanced pads should perform a reasonably better performance throughout the board, and perhaps even if there is a wise (if boring) choice that doesn’t play competitively. Of course, out of the FPS, the mouse speed is usually less important than the mouse health, and this will attract me to recommend strategies, MOBA and other competitiveness species.

In terms of innovation, it is clear that QC performance is the choice of flag. It is soft, smooth and smart, shining on targets or shining on opponents in high -speed FPS Games. If you haven’t tried the speedpad before, this is a great and reasonable price to start.

The balance pad is a more traditional style and these three have the most comfortable option, which makes it better for the PC where you are working and playing the game. That said, it is probably a slight shade through other pads in the lineup in terms of wow factor, and other than Nifty tags, it does not feel that if you are already using a regular QC pad, the game does not feel like a changing upgrade.

The control pad here is the most interesting option, which has a rouver level that is not so comfortable daily but provides a more obvious gameplay advantage in terms of accuracy, which is less likely to reduce your target and more permanent results. Its pair with ultra -light mouse results in extreme crisp experience, and this is what I personally use – at least until the next mouse pad comes to review!

Going forward, I would be interested in seeing whether STLAPERS chooses to experience more foreign materials or designs in the future. These days, glasses and hybrid glass pads have a trend, and the company’s first product was a glass pad called Ice Met, so it feels like a natural field of interest. Still, I can see the wisdom of choosing a more mainstream clothing line -up to start, and Offer a three -member QC performance Is really a strong foundation.
