From Texas Tech Athletics:
Tennessee Transfer Robin Vallenio and Statson Transfer Logan Hughes, Texas Tech Baseball prepared UC Aryan 15-12, on Saturday afternoon to record the first win of 2025 in Dan La Field at Rip Griffin Park.
One day after the runner-up with runners in the scoring position and 0-For-11, Texas Tech (1-4) bats survived Saturday, as eight of the nine red riders recorded at least one hit, eight different players scored and six players scored.
Hughes led the charge for the Red Riders in the victory, scored three runs, four RBIs, a pair of pair and his first home as a rider, while the first baseman Robin Villino scored a doubles pair, three runs and three RBIs with 3-For-4.
On Saturday afternoon, a pair of latest people shone when Infielder Coleman Ryan and Candil Johnson recorded their career as the first hit red riders. Johnson, who scored the batsman’s eye in the fourth, scored twice, while Ryan also recorded the first hit of his career and also worked in his first two runs.
After Starter Lucas Perco’s first scoreless top, the Red Riders first attacked the double with Kieller Thomson’s bat on the lead -off. Thomson will later steal the third with an out and score at the RBI ground out from Hughes’ bat.
Equipped with a 1-0 lead, Perco worked around two out walks to fire zero in the upper part of the other.
In the second house of the other, the Red Riders hung their first crooked number (three plus runs) of the season, which scored six runs at the RBI Ground Out, two RBI doubles from Vallenio, which was RBI double and RBI single from Hughes.
Using the lead-off double to retrieve a speed, UC Irine (3-3) responded with its four spots in the third half to cut the Red Rider lead to 7-4.
In the third house of the third, Tech responded with a single run when Thomson reached the hit by the pitch, came in second and scored on the RBI base second. Two out-runs gave Tech an 8-4 lead.
The Red Riders contested another three spots from the UCI in the top of the fourth when Perko hit Erne’s Alonu Raees to keep his direction in front. The pitch was the final that the Sophomor Right would throw away at noon, as the nail baptist transfer made its first start as a Red Rider in four innings, which would get seven runs (four earned) and eight hit films. Perko hit three while walking.
With an 8-7 lead, the Red Riders doubled their lead with the latest Johnson’s bat on a 412-foot blast.
With a pair, Tech turned to the Abbron Transfer Zach Croatfelt, which sacked the fifth innings in his first innings.
With this pace, Valvonio and Hughes’ tumors once again gave birth to the crime, when Hughes placed Wilneyu on the Bilipin, who came to the right of the two runs, 109 miles per hour, 398 feet. Longball ranked Red Riders at fifth with two runs.
When hitting with a four-run lead, the Croatfelt once again trapped a bisner in the sixth, so that the tech could be kept at the top 11-7.
After the scoreless sixth, in the seventh seventh, the UCI attacked for its lonely run away from Croat Felt, which used three straight one-out singles to pull within 11-8.
The Crot Felt eventually went into 2.2 innings in his second hearing as a Red Rider, which led to only one run and four hit successes on Saturday.
When a sack bonnet placed a pair of antisters in the scoring position and brought the tinging run to the plate, the Tech senior turned towards his most experienced arm in the Trendon Parish. Looking for the Red Riders to be in front of three runs, Parish blew up a couple of fast balls of 96 miles per hour through UC Arvian’s Shorts Top Colin Yemen so that both runners could be erected.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Red Riders doubled their lead on a two -run pair by RBI singles tracear Lopez and TJ Pompei and Ryan.
In eighth place with a cushion of seven runs, Parish trapped two and runner at the base to put the game at 15-8.
The win and saving his 10th career is just three -outs, Parish worked to go out of trouble in the ninth, as the three straight one -out singles brought the bases with one out.
The next UCI batter, Chase Call, briefly drew a ball into the hole. To get out of only one out, Ryan went down to the right field for the other side of the window and the innings in the innings went down to a throw.
After two RBI singles of UCIS Clean -up Guy Jacob McCbus, after scoring a pair of unorganized runs, Parish used two ground balls to retire the last two batsmen and even on the series One Game All weekend.
