Botanicola is an amalgamation design game, and if you are familiar with any other work of the studio, what you can expect is a great idea. It follows the strange adventures of five pesticides living in a tree, which the parasitic spiders are invading. This may look serious, and spiders are definitely a bit strange, but it is a really lightweight, encouraging experience.
It also has more similarity in the adventure of Amanita’s 2018 locking adventures: solving puzzles is technically the name of the game, but the real entertainment is as a result of its wrong. As we said in Botanicola’s review, “For the first time getting the right answer is trash: that means you will be lost by looking at failed attempts.”
Anyway, Botanicola is a huge game, which is one of the best of Amanita (though the truth is said, I can point to any amnesty game and say that it is worth its regular price, and now it is free, which means we don’t really need to talk about it – just catch it.
