I have reviewed a few portable monitors in my day. But I have never wished. So far the new Acer Nitro PG271K looks like it can be a little magnificent thanks to a 4K race, smart look and high freshness, though there is a little catch.
The main things include a 27 -inch IPS panel, which includes 3,840 pixels by 2,160 pixels. Most portable monitors are 1080p, which is very terrifying in terms of pixel density. So, there is one one -one.
It also supports 144 Hz refresh, though it contains a proviso. It will only do 72 Hz in 4K. Apply to 144 Hz 1080p. It’s a little sad.
Always with the Acer product, the details are a little difficult to nail. We understand that mini-HHMI and USB-C are contacts. However, it is unclear how the display is running.
Is this through USB-C, maybe? External power supply? Maybe a battery? The latter is unlikely that the price is fixed at 499 or £ 429. Putting revenue aside, we will expect a price of about $ 500.
This is an appeal for such a capable portable panel. It looks very wonderful, with three sides of the display and with super slam bells on the kick stand.
Acer is not referring to size and weight, but they will definitely minimize the proportion and also help to control mass. We think it comes with the Carrie case and it usually seems that it can be fantastic to add appropriate use of screen real estate to the gaming laptop.
For games where frame rates make a difference, you can go to 1080p and 144 Hz. Where the visual detail rules, switching to the 4K and bottom work well in the context of a limited GPU -power laptop compared to a desktop. In any case, you will not kill 240 FPS with the laptop GPU, that’s it.
Obviously you are still compromising a full desktop display. And in this period of OLEDs, the IPS monitor will have a poor performance of HDR, not a slow response.
But then a portable monitor based on one of these 27 inches 4K OLEDs will surely be more than $ 1,000. Therefore, despite the limits, the offer is clear.
