The news that the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con don’t have Hall effect thumbsticks has left me wondering what the point was

  • Joey Ko 2 Controllers Won’t feature Hall Effect Thumbs Sticks
  • This was confirmed by an executive of Nintendo in a new interview
  • This technology can help prevent thumb stick growing

The owner of almost every Nintendo switch is familiar with the horrible Joey Con Drup, where controllers’ thumb sticks can register the wrong inputs even after mild use.

It was a biggest complaint with the original Nintendo Switch Console and, while Nintendo began offering free repair of Joey in both the United States and the UK, many people were hoping that the 2 controllers of the Nintendo Switch 2 would offer a revised design to solve these problems.
