The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is a big phone with small phone energy

Oh Pollution Did I leave my phone at home?

When testing the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, I repeatedly tested this moment. I will look into my bag, or note the weight loss in my jacket pocket, and my stomach will fall. The phone is not there. But look, after another moment to dig from your purse, or after reaching my pocket, I will find it. These moments are usually not when I take a big phone – but the Galaxy S25 Edge is not your average big phone.

On paper it doesn’t look so impressive. Edge Galaxy S25 is 1.5 mm thin than Plus and thin than an ounce lighter. Is this all the turmoil? I was suspected too. And I’m not fully calling through the S25 Edge. But after staying with him for a few weeks, I came to the idea as a pleasant alternative to chinky phones that I could barely tie in the evening bags. Especially since I have been able to draw an important conclusion: battery life is fine.

Nice

  • Like a regular phone, but slim
  • Surprisingly lightly
  • Battery life is not as bad as I was afraid

Bad

  • There is no telephoto camera
  • Battery life is not as strong as the standard phone

It feels like a police officer to say that you really have to hold the S25 edge to understand it, but I will say that anyway. It may be that after a decade of phones that are almost the same size and weight, we have become hyperwear for minor weight differences – at least this is the theory when I handed over the phone. I think she’s fine.

There are some scenarios where slightly thin dimensions and lightweight differences. It does not look as big and does not feel as big as other phones usually do in the side pocket of my yoga pants. I spend a lot of time in yoga pants (and if I am honest, zero time is actually doing yoga) so I appreciate it. And the S25 Edge actually fits in a thin clutch designed to keep only a couple’s credit cards and a cheap stick. No other modern phone – save iPhone 13 semen – move forward without fighting.

  • 3,900mAh battery

I would be less willing to verify the S25 Edge if it costs too much or the battery life was clearly worse than the standard S25-Series phones. Great news: It only costs a little more, and the battery life is slightly bad. It is 0,099 compared to 99999 Galaxy S25 Plus. There is nothing to sneeze extra $ 100, but if you are spreading the cost more than three years, the difference is a few rupees a month.

When I started testing this phone, my biggest problem was the battery life. The edge’s 3,900mAh capacity is much lower than the 4,900mAh cell in the S25 plus. And no surprise, the S25 Edge battery does not increase to the extent when you get S25 Plus or Ultra. But it is Okay.

The Samsung Galaxy is with the S25 Edge S25 Plus.

The difference against the S25 Plus (left) is remarkable, but once you pick up the phone you feel the effect.

As a rule, I activate every battery -powered feature when I test a phone, which always includes display and the highest screen resolution and refresh rate settings. With all this I started a trial with fire: One day I personally covers Google I/O. About three hours to post photo in our direct blog, using the screen on time and an hour as a mobile hotspot, it was managed to pass throughout the day with 20 % remaining that night. Did it feel great? No. Under normal circumstances, I would have participated all day, as I was suffering from battery troubles. But that was fine.

I will seal it, but with the warning that if you watch a lot of streaming videos or gaming too much about graphics, it’s probably not a phone call for you. I am also concerned that battery performance will look like a few years from now because its capacity is naturally low. If you are a person of this kind who wants to hang on your phone for more and more years, it would not be a bad idea to change the fresh battery after a few years – take it from the iPhone 13 mini owner.

On the subject of small phones: S25 Edge is not one. This is a light, more accessible Big Phone, but I still struggle to get my thumb to the corner of its 6.7 -inch screen. Most people would like to have a case on this phone anyway, which takes it from “slim” to “just regularly”, rather than “wow it is extremely complicated.” This is a very web -based diagnosis, but I don’t want any of my small phone fans to think that it can be a small phone in disguise.

This is the first non -mini phone to go into this bag without any fight.

Battery life can be the biggest trade that you have to make this phone, but it is not single. The Galaxy S25 Edge comes with just two rear camera-a 200-megapixel main S25 ultra and 12 megapixel ultra-wide. You also get 3x telephoto on standard S25 and S25 Plus. Obviously the size barriers were a factor on the edge, and Samsung included a top shelf main camera to make telephoto. I think this was the right call.

I like a dedicated telephono camera like the next boy, especially with Samsung’s excellent portrait mode, but 2x crop zoom works fine for a little extra access. As always, you will either love Samsung’s nest, bright colors or they will not become your cup of tea. I have learned to be with them.

Out of battery life and camera options, the S25 Edge leaves very little. You still get a 6.7 -inch screen with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip Set, full IP68 dust and water resistance, and 1440p resolution. Even with a thin profile, heat consumption is fine. In everyday tasks I rarely looked up the phone, and he arranged 20 minutes Diabelo infinite I can access the crankup in the session with each display setting. It was tasty until the end, but I didn’t see any decline in performance.

More than matching the eye

For the past two weeks, I have removed some of my concerns with this new form factor using the Galaxy S25 Edge – one of which is likely to see Apple in the near future. Have battery life Okay The use of a thin phone feels really different. It is actually commendable to take 1.5 mm in thickness.

The S25 Edge gives a kind of feeling for someone who likes the big screen but does not have a big phone bulk and weight. But this person should Plus Be a person who is easy on the battery, and is not the kind of person who just wants to buy the phone and do not need to think about taking it to replace him (or his battery). They are some beautiful serious warnings.

At least, I encourage you to find and pick up your wireless carrier or best by baest or anything. It doesn’t look like it is effectively thin or light on paper, but you may be wondering how it feels in your hand.
