- Cyber News researchers receive unsafe peanuts DB Database containing millions of dental user records and appointments
- It was more likely than the “dental marketing specialist” agency
- Consumers should be on their guard against potential attacks
Experts have warned that a large -scale database containing personally identified information and other records belonging to millions of US citizens was sitting unsafe on the Internet, who knew where to see, easily achieved.
On cybersecurity researchers Cyber news Archives were discovered at the end of March 2025, which found that it contains about 2.7 million patients’ profiles and 8.8 million appointment records.
The data included people’s names, date of birth, emails, postal addresses, phone numbers, gender information, chart ID, language preferences, billing details, and appointment records (including patient metad data, time stamp, and institutional references).

Cyber News could not confirm its owner, but says the “buried in the database” points to Gargil, which is a digital marketing company that describes itself as a “dental marketing specialist”, which features website design, SEO, content marketing, PPC management, and advertising.
Cyber News explains, “Although it is not a health care provider, Gargil’s business model relies on handling the infrastructure facing patients, and in this case, potentially patient data.”
There is a lack of other details – it is not known if Gargil really handled the database, or the third party had it. We do not even know how long the protected documents have been unlocked, and if a malicious actor found before cyber news – though we know that he was discovered the same day.
Unconditional database is one of the most common reasons for the data leak. Many security researchers are warning that organizations do not understand that security in the cloud works on a joint responsibility model.
