Old Guard 2’s first trailer has arrived – and Charlez has returned to kick the mandatory butt.
In this short clip, which can be seen below, Andy (Therone) says he is finally in peace … even as long as he introduces a new opponent – a dysfunction named an infinite, whose role is no one other than Uma Thorman. “For centuries, I have seen you fighting for the protection of humanity, abandoning my nature,” she tells Andy. “I will eliminate you and everything for which you stand with the power you can’t even imagine.”
His sequel looks at the return of the team of Andy and his infinite fighters, this time encouraging more than ever in his mission of protecting the world (despite Andy’s infidelity). According to the official summary, “when a mysterious danger emerges that can endanger everything that has been working for thousands of years, Andy, Nail, Jo, Nikki, and James Kopli, add to the help of Tua, who is an old friend who can provide the key to opening the mystery behind the existence of immortality.”
Victoria Mahoni instructs from a screenplay that anyone other than anyone else, who adopts his own comedy book by the same name. The cast also includes Henry Golding, Matthias Squares, Veronica Ang, Kiki Lane, Marwan Kenzari, Luka Marinely, and Cheette Vettle Education.
The premiere of the first film, directed by Jenna Price-Blu Thet Wood, was returned to Netflix in 2020 and immediately came in place on the global streaming chart. According to producer Mark Evans, a third film can be on the horizon because the end of the sequel is “type three.”
