I am sure that we all spent every year after the launch of the Nintendo Switch in 2017, “We will soon get a new animal’s crossing”, just after that, three years later to join 2020. Regardless, allow me to say with confidence that next year we will find a new animal crossing.

Nevertheless, there are some reasons I believe we will see the return of Tom Nook in 2026, and Nintendo will be making a terrible decision not to do so.
What is beyond a new horizon?

Those horizons are no longer so new
The next year will be six years after crossing the animals: new horizons. Yes, we are all old, but also, this is an important period for development nowadays. Nintendo does not reveal much about what his original developers are doing and what teams handle, so it is not surprising that we have not heard anything yet, even if the next animal is crossing its way.
The new leaf and the new horizon were eight years away, so there is a reasonable difference to a series of six years that is better than that, and many more fans are waiting.
Even mentioning the new horizon is not suspicious

But think about it: Six months from now, Christmas is. First Christmas for Nintendo Switch 2. Saving money for parents (and I) for a new console planty long time and the original switch is already the original switch to make the household item regular.
