Why Elden Ring turned to be such a big sales sucess?

We know that Eldon Ring, when it was released, it was bigger, every strimmer game wanted to play and the game reached 12 meters copies that were sold two weeks after:

Bandai Namko Entertainment Inc. and Manjanab Software Inc. today announced that their new action-RPG game Alden color Confirming an excellent start for the new franchise, 12 million units sold worldwide have reached.

But I have always wondered why the last two from the software games reached this level, even years later and in terms of similar gameplay.

For example, it took a few weeks to reach 3m copies sold in Dark Solies 3:

Dark Solis 3, “amazing result from software trinity”, the biggest launch in the series, Shippee …

A game released three years before the Eldin color took 10 days to sell 2 million:

Sacreo of Software: Shadow Dye sold two million copies twice in just 10 days.

Even the game’s announcement trailer did not do the same as the gameplay trailer did, 6.7m ideas on the play station channel (many people comment after the game release), while the game play trailer has more ideas.

Enjoy the videos and music of your choice, upload the original content, and share it with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

But why did Elden Ring, despite being a new IP, and similar to the last two games released by the Studio, did such a good job from the beginning?

Was it 96 on Metacher? Something really good marketing did Bandai do? Are playing big streamers at the launch?
