Last month, the PlayStation announced that the special ghosts of UTK PS5 would begin in early October, which would potentially take it against the inappropriate force of GTA6. It was a bold move, which chose to be in the window of the release that many developers were avoiding the fear that they would be buried in the shadow of a rock star.
But as my colleague Andrew King wrote, the first half of the year is Stacked Because every other publisher is trying to avoid the GTA 6, you either throw a corner with everyone, hoping that the rock star is drowning in competition while tasting, or taking risk and is bound to a quarter of the year, which has been practically quizard. The PlayStation chose the latter, and when it was a gambling, this is the one who paid.
GTA 6 has suffered a delay in 2026 after crackdown and Tumbbal Weds (not waiting, not, it is dead), leaving the remaining 2025 to take the remaining 2025. We have no doubt that many publishers now hurry to eliminate release dates, well -known that they are not in danger of standing on Monday, which is bound to launch the biggest video game in history, but Sony does not have to worry about it. It was ahead of the game.
The fall is the weather of the Gust of UT, now
The only second largest release we know is being launched later this year. It is Borderlands 4, which is also published by the Tech to Interactive (which was just ahead of the GTA 6 announcement, though Randy Pitch Ford has denied that it had anything to do with it). This means that the last half of 2025 is the past of the UT’s domain. It is a flagship playstation special open -world epidemic that confronts Hassan’s profession.
The first game, a new new IP of Soccer Punch, sells about a million copies, making it the highest selling game on PS4. Now with a passionate fan base waiting, sequel could easily be one of the largest sports of 2025, and everything was calling the rock star on his bluff to capture the empty space easily. Certainly, it reaffirmed that the GTA will launch in 6 2025, but hardly anyone has believed it. In the sight of a new trailer, or with any marketing, these promises felt thin and thinner.
Sony either looked at, or did not care, like many other people, and I hope it is the latter. The GTA 6 is going to be huge, it cannot be denied, but I can’t even see a world where the big triple release like the Gust of UT fails even when the industry’s Titans are against. Many people were worried that the obligatory remistrator would eclipse the clearing tools: campaign 33, and still both are promoted, and when we see that the horizon is always shadowed with better sports, such as the symptoms of Alden Rang and Zelda: the breath of the Series, the Series.
So, I hope that the Gust of UT Publishers is a lesson that when it comes to penciling in the release dates, they do not need to be so fast, just because the rock star line is holding. Next time take a big swing, and you may come up like a play station.
