By the end of this year, an official Xbox branded handheld can be out. A new report states that Microsoft is in partnership with a PC gaming company, such as ASUS or Lenovo, on the device, with a targeted launch in 2025.
According to Windows CentralHandheld has been named Kennon Code and it will be like the Lenovo Lashkar-e-Go S. which will be the first tool outside the Steam Deck Family on the Valve Stamow. Therefore, the Xbox branded handheld will likely run on Windows, which features Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass. The report also states that the system will potentially play the Xbox guide button and aesthetics that according to the Xbox Ethos.
Interestingly, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer mentioned that an Xbox Hand hand is an “a few years out” in November. (Spencer, for his part, is still scared to make the Xbox Handheld for a while.) This is a long -term planning report to launch the next Xbox in 2027. Basically, Microsoft plans to start the next generation with an Xbox series X successor with an internally developed handheld system.
However, surprisingly, it has been noted that this schedule may change as Microsoft works on the future of the Xbox brand. For example, Windows Central Microsoft points to Xbox licensed handheld for this year to act like a test drive. There are no specific details about the partner company, which can also be a razor or MSI.
The game spot has contacted Microsoft to comment on this report.
Earlier this year, the Call of Duty Lex claimed that the next Xbox is planning for 2026. The aspect that Spencer has touched is that the next Xbox hardware should be more modern.
